Destinee's mother, Normani, didn't know how to feel about her daughter's disappearance. She's had a few crying nights, and angry days. She wanted to know what someone could possibly want with her eighteen year old daughter, who bothered no one. The girl barely even had friends.

Normani and TJ made sure to keep in touch with each other. She would text him for updates and hearing that he had none whatsoever ruined Normani's whole day.

Wait until she hears about them having a location, finally.

Normani's days had seemed to be dark and depressing without Destinee. Her daughter was practically her whole life. Imagine carrying someone for nine months, building a bond, having to love a nurture that person for practically the rest of their lives, then have to deal with their sudden disappearance—she couldn't stand the image she sees at night of her daughter fighting with all her might but someone still overpowers her. It was sick.

From the moment she laid eyes on Destinee, she fell in love instantly. She couldn't imagine anything happening to her daughter. The fact that Ill thoughts came to her mind nightly, weakened her.

She wanted her daughter back home safely. She'd make sure to do everything in her power to prevent something so traumatic from happening again.

The ringing of her phone broke her away from her thoughts. Son in law flashed boldly on her screen. She quickly snatched the phone up and smashed the green button.

"Wassup mama." TJ's voice took over the other end of the phone, "how you holding up?"

"Hey son, I'm making it. You still holding up well?"

"Honestly, I've never felt so lost mane." TJ trailed off for a few seconds, "but I got some good news for you."

"Well tell me boy."

TJ laughed at how anxious she was, "I got Destinee's location. She's like two hours away from us."

"That's good! What're we going to do?"

"Mama who the hell is we? I'm not getting you involved in nothing I have going on."

"That's my daughter, I want in."

"Nah." TJ dismissed her idea quickly, "I don't need nothing happening to you. I'll get her home to you safely."

"I'll hold you to it, son. I want my baby back home as soon as possible."

"I got you."

"I know how much you love her and how much this is hurting you but I hope you're keeping up with yourself."

"I am mama."

The way TJ trailed off told Normani that he was lying. She was going through it due to her daughter's disappearance, she could only imagine what TJ was going through. The two were equally not the same as they used to be since Destinee was gone.

"I know you well enough to know that you're lying. We'll save this conversation for a day when you're comfortable. I love you, keep your head up son."

"I love you too. I'll call you back later to keep you updated."

"Alright son."
