You Can't Always Have the Best of Both Worlds Chapter 2

As we walked into school we were looking around the crowd of students looking for our other friends.

"Hey Al (Allison) have you seen Aaron and Luke?" I asked still looking around.

"No they should already be here"

"BOO!"

We whipped our heads around to see both Aaron and Luke standing there with giant grins on their faces looking down at us.

"You guys scared the crap out of us!" Me and Allison said at the same time laughing.

"What no hellos or hi's or we are happy to see you?" Luke joked.

"Not after that you dont deserve it" I joked as I gave him and Aaron a hug.

"We missed you guys over the summer. What have you been doing?" Allison asked as she gave them hugs as well.

"Oh you know traveling and doing girls" Aaron smirked.

"Ugh ewww you are gross. No, but seriously" I asked. Aaron and Luke can be pervs at times but we love them anyways. We all have been best friends since Freshman year.

"Well we did do the first part. We went to France, Spain, and China" Said Aaron.

Just then the bell rang and we went off to our first class. Me and Aaron had Geometry 2 together. As we sat down in our seats next to each other Aaron turned to me.

"So what did you do this summer Caitlyn?"

"Nothing much. Went to a Muse and Breaking Benjamin concert. Did some boys" I said saying the last part like it was nothing.

Aaron just stared at me wide eyed and mouth hanging out.

"Aaron I was kidding to that part! You thought I was serious? Nice to know you think so highly of me" I said pretending to be hurt.

"No! No it just shocked me for a second" He said turning away from me blushing.

I laughed and then at that moment class began.

After Geometry me and Aaron walked to our next class which was art. It was my favorite class. I loved drawing and painting and I guess according to my teacher I was the best in class.

We walked into the room and saw Luke and Allison already sitting at our table.

"Hey" I said as Luke and Allison said hi back.

I sat between Luke and Aaron with Allison being on Lukes other side.

"Alright class" Our teacher Mrs. Burch started. "We will be drawing animals in motion"

Yes! I thought to myself at the same time half the class groaned.

She put a large picture of a lion jumping on its prey on the board.

"You have 30 minutes to draw" She said going to back to sit at her desk which is at the front of the room.

I started drawing and so did everyone else. As soon as Mrs. Burch said time up I looked up from my drawing to look at the picture on the board then looked back down to my picture. They looked almost the same except my picture didnt have any color to it.

"Damn how did you learn to draw so well?" Allison asked me admiring my work. I just shrugged and went back to listening to the teacher.

After art me and Allison walked to English while Aaron and Luke walked to their next class.

"So Caitlyn have you been having a good day so far?" Allison asked as we sat in our seats next to each other.

"Yeah actually it has been pretty good. How about yours?"

"Mine has been amazing. I heard theres a new student" She said grinning

"Who?"

"Not sure, but I hope to meet him. I hear he's hot"

Then Mr. Walter started the class.

After English Allsion and I went to the lunch room to meet Luke and Aaron there. After we all got our food we made our way to our table.

"Oh im so sorry!" Some boy said as be ran into me causing all my food to fall onto my shirt. Then everyone in the cafeteria went silent and turned to look at us and some people around us coughed "Loser" or "Nerd"

"Watch where your going!" I snapped looking down at my now ruined shirt.

"Im really sorry. It was an accident" I looked up at the boy who was looking down at me and internally gasped.

He has the most amazing grey eyes I have ever seen. I slowly felt myself being lost in his eyes as I stare into them. Then I looked away from his eyes and more at his other features of his face. He had a light tan, dirty blonde shaggy hair and a strong jaw. You could tell he worked out by the muscles his shirt was clinging to. He didnt have alot of muscle, but just enough to make you drool.

"No its okay it was my falt" I said looking down at my feet embarassed fom staring at him.

"Im Kaiden" He said smiling down at me with his pefect white teeth.

I looked back at his face and smiled. "Im Caitlyn"

Then I felt myself being dragged away by Allison.
