"so, who's car are we going in?" I asked as I almost fell downstairs "Edwards, Emmett and Rosalie aren't coming to school - they are going hunting with Esme" Alice said "of course it's Edwards" I sighed making my way to the garage. I then got into the front of the car and waited for the other three to get in. "The bruise is still there" Edward said briefly "Of course its still there, its only been 5 days" i shook my head before I made conversation with Jasper while Alice spoke to Edward, it was kind of awkward actually since I was in the front talking to Jasper in the back, Alice was in the back talking to Edward who, obviously was driving. He drove fast to school, so we were there in a couple minutes.
"Jazz, sit with me on the bus?" I asked "of course, missy" he, again, patted me head. I felt bad for splitting up Alice and Jasper, but the two of them understand that I don't want to talk to Edward right this second. I caught Edward staring at Bella again. "come on, well get closer to the bus. Edward. Alice" jasper placed one of his hands on my lower back as he guided me towards the two busses. The closer we got to Bella the further around his hand went, and the firmer he held onto my side so I wouldn't go for her. Edward saw her, Bella, talk to Mike so he made us stop, so he could listen - it was annoying but I didn't really mind being loosened from Jaspers grip for a second.
"... Now, I wanted to ask you, you know, if, you know, it's like a month away, but... Uh" he kept laughing nervously as he spoke to her "do you wanna go to prom with me?" Mike finally asked Bella. Edwards face completely changed from being calm, though a little annoyed, to being stern and angry. "so, what do you think?" Mike was impatient "about what?" Bella asked, she obviously wasn't listening to him - she was probably to busy looking at Edward. "do you want to go? To prom? With me?" he started to chuckle nervously again "oh, I.. Prom? Dancing? Not such a good idea for me. Uh... I have something that weekend anyway. I'm going to Jacksonvile that weekend" she tried to let him down gently I think "you can't go another weekend?" "non-refundable ticket. You should ask Jessica. I know she wants to go with you." They awkwardly walked away from eachother as Mr. Molisa rushed everyone. "Edward, come on" I roughly grabbed his jacket and pulled him in the direction of the busses.
"woah there, Cullens. I need your permission slips!" Mr Molisa stopped us Three of us turned to Alice "yes, I have them right here Mr. Molisa" she smiled at him handing the four permission slips over.
"thank you.. Uh. Next bus, next bus" he motioned for the four of us to go to the other bus. We walked there swiftly and sat at the back. I watched to see if Bella was headed for this bus but to my surprise she went on the other one. THE BUG HOUSE "Egg shells, carrot tops. Compost is cool" Mr. Molisa was doing something with a machine thing "I'm sorry." I quickly turned to Edward "huh?" he had a small smirk on his face, I knew he heard me "I said, I'm sorry, for the other night" I sighed "aw, it's okay Missy" he grabbed me, held me under his arm and completely messed my hair up. "ugh Edward!" I slapped his chest before pulling my phone out my pocket so I could fix my hair again. "pay back, for being a cow" he shrugged "wow yeah, love you too" I rolled my eyes dramatically at him. We were stopped next to this beautiful flower admiring it when I felt the air tence, then Bella passed us, "give me a second" Edward said lightly strolling up to her side. I mentally screamed at her, but I actually just walked past them and walked along with Jasper and Alice.
"yeah. Great siblings you lot are" Edward was now by my side "we though you were going to walk with her. Didn't want to ruin it." I shrugged, Jasper nodding "why aren't you still with her?" Alice asked "her friend turned up" he shrugged.
Then after the tour we had free time to just look around for our self's and stuff, but of course Bella made her own little scene as she stormed out of the butterfly building. Edward instantly followed her. But the three of us just finished strolling around and then went outside, that's where we saw him standing next to the bus with her
"what, you think I regret saving you?" was the first thing I heard coming out of Edward mouth "I can see that you do. I just... I don't know why" she carried on "you don't know anything" he was getting angry, so we, well Alice, stepped in - I had to stand back a bit with Jasper.
"hi" Alice chirped breaking the argument "um, are you gonna be riding with us?" she asked "no, our bus is full" Edward looked at Bella for a second before turning and banging on the bus door. We got in and again went straight to the back. "Why'd you fight?" Edward asked as we sat "Huh?" "Why'd you fight" "Oh, uh i wasn't going to, i was just gonna walk away, but he made fun of jasper and it got my blood boiling... I wasn't going to let him say that about one of my brothers." He nodded and shut his eyes for the rest of the bus ride....
