33. More training

Since it was a Sunday my family and the pack agreed that we should pack in a full day of training, and after last night I needed it. I was still pretty messed on the head about Jacob asking me out - I had to try and stop thinking about it though, or else Edward would know.

"Missy! Come on we are leaving!" Jasper shouted from outside, I ran through the house to meet him there
"Has everyone else baled already" I chuckled, happy Edward wasn't here, I hadn't cleared Jacob out of my head yet
"Yeah, Emmett is eager to start." He took my arm as we went to run but he instantly stopped "you seem tense, Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Jazz, I just want to get this whole newborn situation out of the way"
" I know how you feel, I'm not sure I trust these wolves all that much"
"Yeah, no me neither" I lied
He nodded and we actually ran to the Baseball clearing this time, we changed the location when Alice and I remembered about this place, though no doubt it will bring Bella some bad memories.

"There you two are, thought you wouldn't come" Carlisle smiled as us as we pulled up
"Never miss training, that is the key Carlisle" I swung to his side
"No, you wouldn't miss this for the world would you, a chance to beat some newborns" Emmett laughed
"Ey, you feel the same" I laughed with him, until I realised the three big wolves spread out at the borderlines, and three watching intensely. I realised that the three were Jacob, Quil and Embry.
"Uh where's Edward and Bella?"
"On their way" Esme smiled
"If he wants to bring her, at least come on time"
"Ivy there wasn't a set time, it doesn't matter when the get here"
"Yes of course ... mom"
She smiled brightly, just like every other time I've called her mom, she loves it.  As we all talked amongst ourselves waiting for Edward to turn up, he as usual, crept up on us

"Hello" he said very close behind me
"Hi" I replied, he got nods from the rest of the family
"I have something I'd like to discuss with you, all of you-" he looked at the wolves "without an audience"
I sighed and walked towards Jacob, when sam wasn't around he seemed to be the Alpha.
"Would you mind taking your boys for a walk, while we talk for a few minutes?" I asked

"Of course, honey. Just call when you want us back"

His wolf winked at me before he signalled to Quil and Embry, the two got up and followed him into the woods.
"Why were there only three of them?" Bella asked when I got back, I thought someone else would answer but they didn't
"The whole pack have seen enough together, they'll be coming, preferably for Sam in groups of three or more, from now on" I smiled as nicely as possible
"How many of them are there now?"
"There are ten all together"
"Ten? But last time I saw them there was only like 6 of them"
"Yeah, they gained 4 more, Leah and Seth Clearwater, Brady Fuller and Collin Littlesea" I turned my attention from Bella at to Edward "what did you want to discuss?"
He sighed "Bella and I got to talking last night and we decided, instead of just sending her up the mountain herself and chaining her to a tree or something, I should step out of the fight and go up there with her, we thing there are how many? 20 of them in that army? With Seth out of the picture there will be 9 Mutts and there will be 7 of you, it should be a fair fight" he told us
"You'll miss out on all the fun" I huffed, I saw Bella cringe as I referred to this as fun
"Yeah well I wasn't really into the fighting anyway" he shrugged
"No, no of course not, your such a golden boy aren't you" I tapped his head before rolling my eyes and walking away.
"Ivy come back" Edward groaned "at least come back to hear everyone's thoughts"
"I can hear them already... from here" I smiled
"Ed, sorry man but you are really going to miss out on the fun" Emmett sighed as he walked away from the group and came up to me "care for this... dance, sister?" He asked, now smirking like hell
"Bring. It. On" the two of us went to the centre of our usual Baseball pitch and started dancing around each other, waiting for a moment to pounce while the other is distracted.
"Remember don't go in for the easy kill" Emmett said
"Wasn't planing on it" I grinned..
5 minutes later
"Okay so it's settled then?" I heard Edward say as Emmett and I were still fighting, I could tell he got himself strung into the conversation more than I did so I took the opportunity and and grabbed his arms that were gripped around both shoulders and flung him over my head, I pretended to step on him.
"Don't get distracted" I mocked Jasper from the other night, using his accent to do so.
"Huh, good impersonating. If I was on the phone with you, I would of thought you were him" Emmett laughed as I helped him up
"Thanks" the two of us strolled into the family circle again "what's settled?" I asked
"I'm going to stand out with Bella, after thinking it though it would be much safer for Her"
"Will it? Won't your scent be strong, hers even stronger, if you run her up there it's your one way ticket to having all 20 of them run up there, instead of them coming to the clearing"
He thought for a second
"She is right you know Edward" Carlisle said "your scent won't cover hers-"
I thought this conversation could use some dog, so I whistled, minutes later the three large wolves came back, Quil and Embry stayed on the sides while Jacob strolled up to us.

"What?"
He demanded
"Edward is going to sit out of the fight, but we have a problem"
"What problem?"
"We don't know how to get her up there without them sniffing her out basically"
"Don't we smell very strong to you?"
"I can't remember" I sighed
"Strong as in horrible, it's just an idea but, instead of him carrying her up the cliff, I could. You know my smell might cover hers completely"
I saw Edward slip into a great concentration
"That could work you know" he murmured "Jacob, go and shift" Edward sent Jacob into the forest and we waited for him to come back in human form.
"You really this this will work?" Jacob asked from the trees
"We don't know, but we can try" Edward answered "I will need the rest of you to try and pick bellas scent out, I've grown too familiar to it it doesn't have the same affects on me anymore."
"Yeah"
"Of course"
"Mhm"
As Edward thought it through Jacob was back with us, shirtless and wearing only grey sweats, no shoes either
"So, how are we going to do this?" He asked
"Your going to need to run around with Bella, while you carry her. Bella? Are you okay with that?" Edward turned to her
"Yeah, whatever helps" she smiled slightly as Jacob bent next to her and picked her up, bridal style. He ran through the trees for a good solid 10 minutes before he returned, putting Bella down a few feet away from Edward

"It works" Jasper awed "good thinking, dog"
Jacob rolled his eyes "is this sorted now?" He asked
We all nodded
"Okay" he ran back into the forest, probably to change back and go and lay with the other two to watch us train.
THREE HOURS LATER...
As I was helping Jasper demonstrate some new attacks I saw Jacob go up to Bella as she was sitting on the floor alone, he was talking to her, the best he could while in form, she seemed to talk back, after a few seconds of that he laid down next to her and rested his head on her leg.

"Ivs, come back to us" Jasper was clicking his fingers in my face
"Oh, huh? Sorry, sorry. What were we doing?"
"You were about to fight Edward, remember?" Jasper said slowly
"Oh right, right.. using the new attack?"
"Yes, one of them at least"
I nodded and started the fight. I lost, because every chance I had I was checking over my shoulder on Jacob, this one time I saw Bella re-position herself so she was practically laying on the massive fluffy looking dog next to her. I couldn't help but feel a tad jealous, which at this stage should be a crime, I've only been with Jacob for- well not even a day and I'm already jealous of him... in wolf form... sitting with my brothers girlfriend? What the hell?
Soon after, luckily the whole session was over and I didn't stay for the goodbyes this time, I just went straight home, took a shower, got changed and started to read a book...
