"Grandma, I'm at work." I say.

"Hold on a minute. I only have one uterus?" Grandma says.

"Help me." I mouth to Addison.

"Let me talk to her." Addison says.

I give my phone to her and she smiles.

"Hi, grandma." Addison says.

I was adopted into Addison's family but we act like we're biologically related. My biological grandma was really sick at the time do she couldn't take me in.

"Dr Y/l/n." Jack says.

"Yes?" I ask.

"You got a patient in room 10." Jack says handing me a folder.

I nod my head and go to room 10.

"Dixie D'Amelio?" I ask looking at the papers.

"Yes." Someone says.

I look up and see a girl laying on the bed.

"I'm Dr Y/l/n." I say shaking her hand.

"What's going on? Did you just come to see my adorable face?" I ask.

Dixie giggles and I smile.

"I've been having really bad pain in the back of my neck and it hurts so bad that I can't do anything." Dixie says.

"I'm gonna feel your neck I want you to tell me where you feel pain." I say putting a glove on.

She sits up and I touch her neck.

"Ow." Dixie says.

"Exactly in this spot?" I ask.

"Yes." She says.

"We get you to surgery." I say.

"What's wrong?" She asks.

"The tissue in her neck has a lot of pressure. It's continuing to build up; there's some in the back of her head." I say cleaning Dixie's arm.

"If the pressure continues the build-up, she won't be able to breathe. Or worse, it could snap her neck." I say.

I pick the IV up and Dixie widens her eyes.

"You're scared of needles?" I ask.

"Yes." Dixie says.

"I could make your arm numb to ease the—" I say holding her arm.

I put the IV in her arm and she screams.

"Motherfucker!" Dixie shouts.

I smile and tape it to her arm.

"If I wake up during this surgery, I will strangle you." She says as I push her bed out of the room.

I laugh and go to Addison.

"Dr Easterling." I say.

"Yes?" Addison says looking up.

"Please tell Dr Garica to get the operating room ready. When you're done, can you come to the pre OP room?" I say.

Addison nods her head and I take Dixie to the pre OP room.

Dixie's View

"I have to fill out paperwork before your surgery." Dr Y/l/n says.

Dr Y/l/n opens the cabinet and hands me a gown before leaving. I change and Dr Easterling comes in.

"Is she single?" I ask lay go back down.
