My phone keeps vibrating and I finally answer it.

"What are you doing right now?" Avani asks.

"I'm in class." I say quietly as I rub my eyes.

"Go on Charli's live." Avani says.

Avani hangs up and I sigh. I go on Instagram and click on Charli's account.

"I don't know if I want to do this anymore." Charli says crying.

"I know this is gonna be a huge joke to whoever sees it." Charli says.

"Y/n. What's the answer?" Mr Collins asks trying to embarrass me.

These people haven't liked me since I started college. They're already trying to kick me out of this school because "I don't deserve to be here".

"Who--" Mr Collins asks.

"Look, I understand what you're saying. Stop being homophobic and pick some else." I say.

"You think you can teach this class?" He asks.

"I can do a lot of things." I say.

I get up and walk to the front of the classroom.

"True or false, Mr Collins is homophobic." I say.

"True." Everyone says.

"True or false, Mr Collins actually cares about our education." I say.

"False." Everyone says.

"Sit--" Mr Collins says.

"Hold on, I'm getting a call." I say putting my phone to my ear.

"She's actually trying to take her life now." Avani says.

"I'm coming." I say.

"O-Okay." Avani says.

I hang up and Mr Collins looks furious.

"I gotta go, doll." I say getting my backpack.

"If you walk out that door, I will terminate your scholarship." Mr Collins says.

"Okay." I say.

I nod my head and leave.
