"It's always the people who'll never change that ask for money." Someone mumbles walking past me.

Someone else walks up to me and kneels in front of me.

"If you're homeless you shouldn't be drinking." They say taking the beer bottle out of my hand.

I look up and see a girl in front of me.

"You sure you're homeless. You're really cute." She says adjusting her face mask.

I smile and she holds her hand out. I grab hit and she helps me stand up.

"What's your name?" I ask.

"Dixie, what's yours?" She asks.

"Y/n." I say.

"Come with me." Dixie says leading me down the street.

Dixie opens a car door and we get in the backseat.

"Drink this to sober up." Dixie says handing me a bottle of water.

Drunk on something stronger than the drinks in the bar

"Where are we going?" I ask as the car starts to move.

"I have a place in Malibu." Dixie says casually taking her mask off.

"I rent a place on Cornelia Street"
I say casually in the car

"Why am I going with you?" I ask.

"You're life is a book and the pages are blank." She says.

We were a fresh page on the desk

The bathroom door opens and I look up.

"Wow, you clean up nicely." I say.
