45. The furnace

Kaname Kuran

We all sat in the living room. Yuuki was playing with Yuuhi. Zero held Yemon and I read a book. However my thoughts were everywhere.

'Why don't you play, daddy?' Yuuhi asked.

'I am reading this book, Yuuhi,' I said. Yuuhi stood up and checked the book.

'Is it a nice one?' She asked.

'Well I don't understand it now. Maybe if I keep reading, then I'll tell you,' I said and I kissed her. She walk back to yuuki and play with the doll.

Not a moment later Kaien Cross walked in the room.

'There is a problem;' he said sirius.

'What is it?' Zero asked.

'The furnace on the headquarters stopped burning.'

'Use new fire,' Yuuki said.

'I come with you,' I said.

'Me to.' I heard Zero voice behind me.

'So I stay with the kids,'

'We see you so,' I said. Yuuki gave Zero and me kiss on the cheek.

We stepped out the car and walked in the building. Several hunters stared at us.

There was totally panic and I knew why. The furnace always burn, because a pureblood stepped in it. Out the furnace they made the anti-vampire weapons if you have a fang of an vampire.

My family held another secret. The first Kuran threw his fangs in the furnace. It was the start of the vampire war and he saw that vampires were controlling the world. With his fangs he created a furnace that made anti-vampire weapons. Then he offered his blood humans who earn the ability to wield these weapons, the hunters.

Sadly a fangs were not enough. His girlfriend, Linea, saw it and want to sacrifice herself before the first Kuran could. She stepped in the furnace and let it burn. I know that sometimes, people said that they saw a body in the furnace and believe there still is a body.

'Guess, it is my time, isn't it?' I said and smiled.

'Your time to what?' Zero asked.

'To die,' I said and I walked to the furnace.

I opened the door and stepped in the furnace. There was a girl body in the ashes, but it was not burned. She had still blond brown hair.

Kaiya Akane

We arrived at the house of doctor Toshiro. 'I hope he is home,' I said, but at that moment he opened the door. His hair was clumsy and he looked sleepy.

'Are you drunk again?' Was my first reaction.

'No,' he said. 'I had night shift okay.'

'Oh...'

'Come in you to,' he said.

'So we woke you up?' Akio asked.

'Can I sleep just an hour more?' He asked. I nodded and Akio and I started with breakfast.

After a hour, little more. He walked down and stared to the table with food.

'I went to the shop and Akio cooked.'

'You cooked?'

'I am the man in house. But Kaiya is doing the window.' Akio start laughing.

Toshiro looked a bit confused.

'Ignore him,' I said and I took seat.

'What a honor to have you as my visitors.'

'Well, we want to ask you,' Akio said. 'We found out that we both want to have a child.'

Toshiro stopped with eating and stared at us. 'I knew you would come with that question but I thought it would come over three maybe five years.'

'We don't know which age we will reach with the price on our heads.'

'But why are you here? Don't you get pregnant?'

'No, no we haven't tried yet,' I said shocked.

'never had sex?'

'No,' Akio said irritated. 'We did it save. Kaiya want to ask you how big is the change that the child would look like an child of the Kurans?'

'What features has a perfect Kuran descendant?'

'Red eyes, brown or red hair,' I said thinking about Yuuki and Kaname.

'Well, Akio has black and yours were painted?' I nodded. 'What hair did your parents had?'

'My father had black hair, my mother brown. My sister also had black hair,' Akio said.

'That means black is dominant, bit you have one of the four change the child will have brown hair because you both held that in your DNA. What eye color had your parents?'

'Mother light eyes, nearly golden my dad had dark eyes, darker than mine.'

'That means that golden and black were intermediary,'

'What does that means?' I asked.

'That it is a combination of both gens.'

'So the child will get dark red eyes?'

'I guess only dark,' Toshiro said looking at my eyes. 'Darken red then yours is not real possible. However the pureblood the DNA could me dominant. '

'Is there a way we can change the features of the child so he or she won't have the Kurans features?'

'I am not sure I am the real person for that. I a good doctor, but I can't do everything. '

'Why not?' I said. 'Is there no way?'

'Of course there is a way. I will find him for you. What about Kaname Kuran?'

'We have seen him yesterday. ' Akio said.

'It's better to wait three or four months. Then you don't have a belly when Kaname call you again and I can get the baby out of you before Kaname call you.'

'You can fix that feature stuff in three months?'

'I hope so,' doctor Toshiro said. 'Don't die before that,'

'We do our best,' i said and I was happy that we find a way.

Kaname Kuran

I shook the body and the girl looked up. She had caramel-colored hair and green eyes.

'What happened?' She whispered.

'Are you okay?' I asked. ' I understand that when you burned in a furnace for thousand year your not feeling well.'

'Thousand year?' She replayed me.

'Are you pureblood Linea?'

'Yes and you are?'

'My name is Kaname Kuran. I am also a pureblood.'

'Kaname?' She replayed me again. I smiled at her. 'How can it that you have both your fangs?'

'Both my fangs?' I replayed her this time.
