Everyone, no actually-every king and Fanarbey had left. The table had been cleared.  Jim, Breala and the Krichnd were the only ones left in the hall.

"Thanks for the meal" Jim spoke as he stood up to leave. "It was almost good."

"Creed..." the Krichnd called. "Sit down."

It's at this point that Breala stood up and gracefully left the hall. Jim obeyed and sat down.

"If you're angry about what I spoke of your food" Jim when he had sat down. "I didn't mean any of that."

"I want to tell you a secret..." the Krichnd spoke.

"A secret?! What kind?" Jim asked

"A secret one..." the Krichnd replied ambiguously.

"I am not really good at keeping secret secrets..." he said, trying to escape his obligations. The Krichnd just smiled for a short while...

"You'll keep this one just fine..."

"What makes you so sure?!" Jim asked.

"Because your chance of going home," the Krichnd answered. "...depends on how well you keep  this secret..."

"Do i really have to hear this 'secret'?!" Jim enquired.

"Absolutely..." the Krichnd replied.

"Okay" Jim committed. "I am all ears..."

"Do you remember what I told you about the eleventh king?" the Krichnd began with a  question.

"That he rules over the rulers...not a territory." Jim responded

"Well that's not entirely true..." the Krichnd started to reveal."...there's also a realm."

"So, you lied!" Jim reacted.

"I didn't," the Krichnd answered. "I knew you were a Raelian and you Raelians trust only

your eyes..."

"What do you mean?!" Jim enquired.

"What I mean is that mine is a unique one." The Krichnd answered."...the invisible realm."

If Jim had been told about this realm a week back, he would probably have fallen to the floor in  laughter.

"An invisible realm?!" he wondered.

"Yes." The Krichnd affirmed. "That's where I have my army and road network."

'Well. Of course,' Jim thought. 'That's why Strost insisted he had walked not flown!'

"And why are you telling me now?!" he asked.

"It's because of the minima..." the Krichnd answered.

"The minima...what's that?!" Jim asked.

"It's the time when my powers are at their lowest." the Krichnd responded. "I am most vulnerable during this time."

Then Jim remembered how the Krichnd had rushed into the compound and ordered setting of a  barrier. This was right after Jim spoke of how his sword didn't work...

"Is that why the sword didn't work?" he queried.

"I am not sure but most likely... yes" the Krichnd replied.

"How long does it last?" Jim asked.

"Anywhere from twenty to a hundred Rael days" the Krichnd answered.

"A hundred days!!" He exclaimed.

"Could be twenty..." the Krichnd pointed out. "What I really wanted to talk to you about was

the army..."

"The army? Is there a war?!"

"No. not yet..." the Krichnd responded. "Most think it's the crown that controls the army...they're wrong. It's this ring."

The Krichnd spoke and opened the right palm to reveal a gold ring with blue vicssorn stone. There were words written on the Krichnd's palm; 'it's a crown. Beware of the shadows.' There was a symbol similar to an N at the end of the message. Jim knew that this was a warning and he could have sworn that he saw a shadow move on the walls on its own.

"A ring?" Jim asked just to say something.

"Yes. A ring." The Krichnd responded. "Good rest, Creed."

"Good rest...your greatness."

Jim was almost certain of what he had seen-on the walls. He also knew that the Krichnd was not  just being paranoid. What he was failing to figure out was why the Krichnd was choosing to trust  him. Was it because he was the only person in Virrta who couldn't possibly have a claim to the  throne? Anyway, he decided to pause the thinking and went to his room to sleep.

Thanks for your time, i'm going to ask for a little more by requesting a comment;)
