"I'm glad ye've come to that decision dear. Sit down with me."

I did and we talked about some things. For a moment there, we had some mother-daughter bonding time. It was really fun if I may say.

"Wake up Joyful! Yer father is not patient!"

"Wot? Oh...Scotland."

I rose up from the bed and yawned. I scratched my head and wiped away my drool. "Come on! Come on! Eat bread then off to the bathroom ye go!" My stomach grumbled. "All ye made was bread, none more? Wot about milk or water?" I asked. "A lady strives for a slim body! Now go! We don't have much the time." I took the bread and ate in the shower. I just bathed for 5 minutes. It was enough. "Done already? I thought ye take longer." I glared at her. "I'm not like ye mum. I don't 'sing' in the shower." I said and went to my bedroom. "I prepared yer dress already. Do ye like it?" She asked. It was a green long sleeved dress that has celtic designs at the end of the dress itself. Well, I have no choice! "Yup mum, thanks." I said and closed the door. A girl needs private time, doesn't she?

I wore the dress and surprisinlgy, it was too freaking fit! It's smaller than my size!!!! "Oh let me see!" I walked put of the room, walking ever so stiffly. "I can't breathe." I said. "It's lovely. Too lovely! Oh! Wot will yer father say?" She said. "Do ye ever think about the problem that I can't even breathe?!?" I exclaimed. "Oh shush. I learned to deal with it also." She said. She fixed my hair into a braid, and it just wouldn't work.

"Mum, it's better off not braided. Or ye can pony-tail it."

"It doesn't suit the dress, see?"

I face-palmed. "Ye know wot?! It will take ye forever just to figure out a way to fix my hair!" I said. "Why did ye get yer hair in yer father's side of the family? Ye know very well it's so absurd." She complained. "Well ye two were the one who made me so, I don't have to doubt." I said. "Fine, I'll leave yer hair be. Let's go to the airport." She said. "Are ye fine with taking a taxi cab?" I asked. "No, Sir Edgar has prepared a limo for us both on the way to the airport right outside yer apartment!" I widened my eyes. "Ye sent Sir Edgar here?!?" I'm so excited! Sir Edgar was the one who took care of me for years! We went out of the apartment and the limo was waiting right in front for us. My phone suddenly buzzed. It was Madeline. Well, she didn't really texted me but wot's with her hurry? I went in the limo and my mum followed. I read Madeline's text message.

"Joy! I know you can't come to my aid, but Lewis and Dane told me something very important! You need to go to Scotland. And sorry I haven't read your text message until this morning. I was real busy so I slept in a friend's house. I slept 1 AM. But don't worry, I'll be there soon!" Now that I got Maddie's text message, I feel they're pushing me to go. Maybe something important is in Scotland.

Minutes later, we arrived at the airport where our private jet was waiting. I saw it. "Private pass please." My mum showed our pass to the manager of the airport. "Right this way, Mrs. DruBern." He led us out to the runway to our private jet. "Please, Mrs. And Ms. DruBern." A guard at our home guided us in the jet. "Come on sit." Mum and I sat on two chairs, face-to-face, divided by a mini dining table. "Ye and dad use this private jet when ye have an anniversary correct?" She nodded. "Oh butler!" Mum called and the butler of the jet came rushing in. "Please serve salad for two." The butler nodded an dwent to the kitchen. "I never knew it was this elegant!" I exclaimed. "Of course ye don't! I never let ye here." I frowned Mum was so mean. But then she chuckled.

"How many hours again to Scotland?"

"5. Probably 6!"

I grunted and looked outside the window. In a few minutes, the jet would be leaving. I hate that to happen. I then texted Madeline and the others. I sent: Hey guys. I'm leaving now. Mind texting me back in a few hours? And then I clicked send. Oh, life is just about to get worse in Scotland.

----

"Joyful, Joyful."

"Hmm?"

I opened my eyes. I didn't notice I fell asleep so sudden. "Wot?" I asked. "We've arrived." My mum said and I sat back up on my chair and looked outside the window. I was looking at the aerial view of the courtyard of our house in Scotland. "Am I dreaming, mum?" I asked her and she shook her head with a chuckle. "Why may ye be dreaming about yer past home?" She said and unfastened her seatbelt. I did too. The jet suddenly took a land. The jet ramp slid down and the door opened. Mum went down first. I'm hesitating. I don't want to! But, I'm here now...wot else can I do? I went down the jet and my dad, and three devils were waiting. Three devils I mean, are my brothers to be exact.

"My dear Joy!"

"Now, here's a person who knows how to call me!"

I excitedly hugged my dad. At least he understands me! "Oh please. I gave ye that name. Ye just made an inexcusable nickname out of it." Mum complained. I stuck my tongue out at her. And she rolled her eyes at me and turned to talk to our staff. "Ye know wot lass, yer mother has been working on an amazing gift for ye for when ye return here. I guess now would be the right time to give ye that gift." I gasped fakingly. Wot would it be I guess? A doll, a new dress that I won't be wearing, ever? "Say, Elise, would ye like to show that gift of yers to Joy?" Mum suddenly gasped and approached us. "Now Ferdinand, ye know better! Ye know that isn't ready yet!" She exclaimed. "Wot's not ready yet? You said so yerself, ye never back down on a promise!" Dad exclaimed.

"Ehem!"

"Wot now Joy?"

I smiled. "I am being left out! Wotever yer gift is mum, may it be bought or made, I'd like to see it, please." I suggested, even though I think it's some girly stuff. I think mum has poured lots of her effort into this 'gift'. Mum sighed. "If ye want, then fine." She said and then we went inside our house. I imagined it as it would be. Big, lots of chandelier, and a big staircase. "Come on." We went up the staircase and into the hallway of bedrooms. We entered mum's 'stress' room, as I call it. Whenever she gets stressed, I notice she always spends her time here. "I've been working on our family tapestry for quite some time." Tapestry? Mum stood beside a hanged cloth. A big and tall cloth! She removed it and it revealed a tapestry. Dad, me and mum. "W-wot is that?!" I asked her. "Our tapestry! This tradition has been passed down to me by my kin. Every woman of the family shall knit a tapestry for their family, with their first born." I scratch my head. This tapestry is familiar! It's as if I've torn it before. Memories flashed inside my head. Mum and I wearing silly outfits, inside an old room. And we...we got into a fight! And, I was wearing a gown. No, I think it wasn't me. It was...Merida!!!!

"BEAR!!!!!"

I dropped on the floor. There was a bear in those memories. And, it was mum. Mum turned into a bear! "Joy! Wot happened to ye? Do ye hate it?" Mum asked. "Y-ye turned into a bear! And that tapestry! I torn it apart! There was also this witch!! This witch!" Mum chuckled. "I did not most certainly turn into a bear! And ye've only seen this tapestry today! And, in this days Joyful, there are no witches to believe in." She said. Maybe those memories weren't mine! Maybe they were...Merida's.

"Mum, I have to go back to America."

"We only got here!"

I stood up and hugged her. "I can't say we have the strongest bond ever, but we can mend it mum. We can start by ye listening to me." I said and took a deep breath. "I need to go back by tomorrow and help my friends. I just gathered memories. Memories that aren't even mine to start with! But the owner of these memories' fate is still unfinished. And, it's my fate to finish it!" She looks confused. I have to elaborate more. "Do ye believe in a the legend of the will-o-wisps?" I asked her. "Yes." She replied. "Well, there was a girl whose mother always said that if ye follow the wisps, they lead ye to yer fate. And right now, this tapestry and these memories are those wisps that shall lead me to my fate! I have to go! Please understand mum! Being the president's daughter isn't meant for me. I'm meant to be having adventures not teatime!" I begged. My mum hugged me and kissed my forehead. "Then go and follow yer fate, my princess." I grinned and hugged her. "Thanks mum, yer the best." I exclaimed.

Tomorrow, I shall report to Lewis, Madeline and Dane immediately!
