Field Trip part 4

Madeline's POV:

"Joy, are your hands still hurting?"

"Not really now."

I sighed. "What will happen to me if I saw a frying pan?" I asked. Lame I know, that my weapon is a frying pan. But that's Rapunzel's weapon as well so why should I bother? "It's time to board the bus." Pitch said and I glared at him. "We need to consult the guardians you know?" I told Joy. "Right now? I don't have my necklace with me." Joy said. "Why don't you have it now?" I asked her. "It's in my bag." She told me. 

"Drats. Let's board the bus."

"Hey wot time is it?"

I looked at my watch and noticed it was 4 pm. "This trip's longer than it should have been usually." I said. Joy and I boarded the bus and Lewis and Dane were there. "Guys! I'm glad you're here." I exclaimed the moment I saw them. "Why Maddie?" Lewis asked. "I just thought we need to consult the guardians. We can use this bus since we four are the only ones here." I said. "Yeah, I feel like talking to Hiccup now." Dane said and we both agreed. 

"Do you all have your necklaces?" I asked.

"Yes!"

Joy tapped me on the shoulder. "I seem to be having my own problem as well." She said and showed her bag. "Someone stole my necklace!" She exclaimed. The news is as dreadful as it is. "How can we contact the guardians?" Lewis said. "We still can, although Joy has to stay put." Dane said. "Come on guys, let's connect. We connected and the guardians showed up.

"Hey guys, how is it going?" Rapunzel greeted.

"Hi! We have something that is urgent!"

The guardians stayed put. "What is it?" Jack asked. "Well, Pitch is our homeroom teacher right? And we can never discuss this in public so now is our only opportunity-" Lewis was cut off. "Hey! They're going out!" Joy exclaimed. "What?" I said. "Anyway! Pitch has been leading us to your weapons. And if we touch them, we get burned or something--Joy's hands were slightly burned, but she's alright now. Can you guide us or something?" Dane said. "We don't know about this situation. Mantara has been feeling unwell these past few days. It may be connected to that. As long as we're still investigating, watch out." Hiccup said.

"Wot about my necklace?"

"Ah! Yes!"

"Joy's necklace has been stolen. Can you figure out the suspect?" I asked them. "Joy's necklace has been stolen? I guess Merida has her answer why she couldn't contact her now." Jack said. "Guys! Students and Pitch!" Joy said who was unexpectedly on guard. "Sorry we have to break it off here. Please message us soon!" Lewis said and we broke off the connection. Just in time when the students got aboard. "Now we are going to our last destination, the Corona Kingdom ruins." He said and looked at Joy and I with a nasty smirk. 

"I'm gonna rip off that smirk off of yer darn face!" Joy muttered.

"We've arrived."

"Finally last destination! Today's trip has been a total whack!"

Other people in my class say, but mostly they don't know Pitch likes to see Joy, Dane, Jack and I suffer. Seriously. He doesn't get the title King of Nightmares for nothing. When I stepped out of the bus, I felt a memory calling back to me. Right, this was where Lewis and I flew lanterns. "Still good as that day huh Maddie?" Lewis said and I nodded. "Pretty relieving." I said and went with the others. 

"You can go about and mind your own business." 

"Great! We'll be home soon."

I sighed. "You okay??" Lewis asked me. "Yeah! I'm fine...I guess." I said. "What's bothering you?" He asked me and I hesitated to tell, but I just let it go. "The thing is...I don't know where to find Rapunzel's weapon. Isn't it neat?" I said sarcastically. "No, you will find it. Let's just explore." Lewis said and I felt comforted. 

As we were walking, I saw an open sign that led to the kitchen. I strayed, and I found the ruins of the kitchen. There were hanging pans. Frying pans. I wanted to touch either one of them so I would know which was Rapunzel's pan. I want to, but then someone grabbed me by the shoulder that made me flinch.

"Lassie, what would you want from this kitchen? It's full of ashes."

"Are you the tour guide? Well, I want to see Rapunzel's frying pan. You know the one she used."

The man laughed. "It's not in this kitchen. It's in the hall of armory and weaponry. Princess Rapunzel's frying pan is considered as her weapon so we put it there as exhibit." He said and offered me to go with him to the weaponry. Of course, I couldn't bluntly say no because I'll need help later on. But, I should know better than to trust strangers. 

"Okay-"

"Rapunzel! There you are!"

I looked behind and it was Lewis. Thank God. I was having my own doubts. "Are you with her? Mind if I take you to the weaponry hall?" The guy said. "No thanks, our teacher is looking for us." Lewis said and grabbed my hand then we left. "Madeline, you know better than to trust strangers! What if he takes you somewhere else?" Lewis said. I can feel the anger in his breaths. "Thanks for worrying. It's not sarcasm. I'm thanking you, really." I said and he just smiled.

"How are we gonna find the hall of weaponry though?"

"There are signs. We wouldn't get lost easily."

I smiled. Lewis reassured me that I'm safe, so I have to hold onto it. "Look, there it is!" Lewis exclaimed while pointing at a sign. He grabbed my hand and ran to where the sign was pointing at until we eventually ended up in the Hall of Armory and Weaponry. "Give me a head start before you go and run like that!" I told Lewis and pulled my hand away. I panted like crazy.

"So, are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

We opened the doors and not much people were inside. I looked around and saw Rapunzel's rusty frying pan. It's got dents, probably because she hit too much. "Read the description." Lewis told me. I nodded and gulped. I took deep breaths before reading the description.

"Although a woman, Princess Rapunzel is prepared for danger. She used this frying pan to hit anyone or anything that seemed suspicious or may harm her. This has been exhibited to show how Princess Rapunzel can protect herself as well." I smiled at the last word because I finally found Rapunzel's weapon.

Suddenly, my pendant lit up. It's light burst through the hall. So did Lewis's, and I'm guessing Dane's and Joy's as well. "What do you think this is?" Lewis asked me, though I think he already knows what that means.

"A message."

Anyway!!! I've finally updated? Doesn't that seem nice? Oh maybe it isn't since I'm a piece of riff-raff and anyone can blame me for not updating. It's been months. :( SO!!! I hope this makes it all up. :))
