Joy's POV:

We went outside the school's door into the garden. "You four again?!" Night Light Jace exclaimed. "Of course it's us! We just want to finish our mission!" Lewis said, glaring at Night Light Jace. "We want to ask ye about something too!" I said, while walking towards him. "Ask me about what? I can answer all you want to know." He said, grinning. Us four looked at one another. As much as we want to ask him about us fighting Pitch, we can't.

"What's the next phrase?"

"Are you sure that's all?"

I gulped. I looked at Dane, Lewis and Madeline I can tell they're feeling the tension now. We must escape that tension. "Y-yes, that's all!" Madeline said, trying hard not to be honest enough. "Oh Madeline, lying isn't your specialty at all." Madeline bowed down, and bit her lips. I swear she can't hold it much longer.

"You may know I'm no sere but, I can notice immediately who's lying or not."

"How?"

Night Light Jace slowly held up Madeline's chin. "By their eyes' soul." He smirked and stood in his place again. "I'm a guardian, definitely that's obvious. My name is really weird, and of course, you've solved Sandy's phrase! You four are just some petty children. Not to be mean though, not to be mean. But seriously, when you lie, your soul's tortured, and is suffering. I can see it right through your eyes." He's so scary.

"So, honesty is the best policy."

"We didn't come here so that you can ridicule us for our lies. Yeah, so what if we accidentally listened to your conversation with Bunny, and we'll probably die when the time comes. But, that shouldn't matter! Life isn't at all fair, and we get that. But to raise Maddie's chin up and make her shiver, that's not part of the deal." Lewis said, in a stern voice.

"Ooh, quite an affection for Dear Maddie! That's cute." Night Light Jace said, with a big grin on his face.

"Can ye just give us the phrase?" I demanded.

Night Light Jace looked at me. His eyes were so blue that when I look at it, I feel a calm aura, but strong on the inside. It makes it a bit more scarier. "Joyful Drubern. Of course your mom is the first lady of Scotland, your dad is the President. You were sent here to study in different countries, and live your own life. Hm, you're so much like Merida DunBroch." I gulped. I'm her reincarnation after all.

"Fine, I'll give you the phrase. It isn't actually a phrase, it's the key to answer all of Dane's questions awhile ago."

"M-my questions?!"

Night Light Jace nodded. "Your questions. Like, why aren't they in my book? Blah blah blah!" He said, and I chuckled a bit. "Why chuckle?" He asked me. "I don't know, it's kind of, blah blah blah. Ehrm, I'm sorry, continue." He smiled and looked at Dane, Madeline and Lewis next. "To solve the questions you've held long ago, color the life, enlighten and know." He said, grinning. Dane looked at him, and stared. Of course, he doesn't have any clue what it means. "Wot?!" I once asked, and Night Light Jace only looked at us. He looked at his wrist. Weird, cause' he's not wearing a watch. It makes him look funny if he's gonna stare at his wrist like that.

"Oh, it's time!"

"Time, you don't even have a watch?"

Lewis said, knocking some sense into Night Light Jace's head. "No, silly. Not only because I have a watch therefore I can determine time. I'm also a guardian. I know the time, for sure." He said, patting Dane's head. "But I'm not-" Night Light Jace put his index finger up to Dane's lips. "Sh, I know you aren't the one who spoke, but I'm just hoping you'll find out the answer." He said, fading away into golden dust and he vanished with the wind.

"Let's study that phrase now! It shouldn't be any harder."

"To solve the questions you've held long ago, color the life, enlighten and know."

Madeline said repeating the phrase Night Light Jace told us. "So, what do you do to solve a question? Like, what is x added to y?" Madeline asked, and Dane, me and Lewis were just looking at her. "Hey guys! Algebra time, come on! Or who is the father of Classic Physics? Formula of force? Newton? UM, NEWTON!" She exclaimed. "Maddie, we're solving a phrase not a problem!" I told her. "Us solving the phrase makes it like a problem? We formulate, we compute, calculate, making hypothesis! Guys, come on, let's work on this altogether!" She said, adding brains to the whole context. I mean, we can't even solve the phrase, a simple phrase!

"Madeline, don't make it so complicated, let's start with basics, let's share what we think about this phrase."

"There are still other guardians we haven't known of. I'm sure their phrases are harder than this!"

Madeline sighed. "I guess you're right. Let's start with basics!" She said, and we all smiled at good, understanding Maddie. "Dane, can ye open yer book?" I suggested him. This phrase might be solved with the help of the book. "Wait, what the-! The-The book's glowing!"He exclaimed as he drop the book on the ground accidentally. It open to the glowing part of the book.

"Wot is happening?"

"It's glowing."

I smack Lewis. "Of course I know it's glowing! It's obvious." I said. "It's forming another part of the book." Madeline told me. "And, maybe, that's the answer to the phrase Night Light Jace gave us!" She exclaimed. "Color the life, means it has a golden page! And, 'enlighten and know', I guess that's the part where we learn about the other guardians." Dane said, flipping the golden pages.

"Look, that's a picture of Mother Goose Katherine!"

"And that's a picture of Night Light Jace!"

Mother Goose Katherine looked fairly beautiful, as she had brown hair and wore a yellow coat based on the picture in the book. "So, we found Mother Goose Katherine, and Night Light Jace, and there are, I don't know like, some guardians left?" I said. Dane flipped the page. "Well, it looks like we're in for a surprise." He said, smiling. "Why?" The three of us asked. "More guardians." He said, showing the other guardians.

Oh my golly.

That's it! Well, 364837437537385737299573839572662204735182846739 years of waiting, and me not updating...must be really tempting to throw a chair. But it's good now! I've updaaated! No classes today but tests tomorrow. NOOOO. It's easy, I might say.
