Luke's POV

______________________________________________________________________

The party had already started while I was still in Bell's tent, I honestly could have listened to her for hours.

She talked about a lot of things really, she spoke of potions, she spoke of past missions, she spoke...and I listened.

She had a habit that I picked up on rather quickly, she never left the tent... only when meals were provided or if it was a meeting of some sort. I wanted to ask her why she never just...left the tent... but with the weather that was coming, who could blame her. Maybe she just didn't want to be cold.

or maybe something else...

I watched as she sat down across from me, cleaning off her goggles and humming to herself.

Sometimes I wondered, with my silence, if she ever remembered that I was there.

"Alright... now, I chatted a lot today so I thought maybe you would like to tell me a bit about yourself."

'sounds good to me'

"I guess I need to start off with a question...hmmm...Where are you from?"

She had to ask that one, huh?

'It's complicated'

"How come?"

Okay Luke, how do you explain to an elf that one, you are from a differnt point in time, and two that there are things that brought you here?

'Empire made me relocate a lot'

That was true, I had spent the past year and a half trying to make sure that Grayson's tracks were covered. He did a rather good job, but I did my part to keep him safe. That was my only tie to him...It was my fault after all.

"Well that's understandable, so what's your favorite color?"

'yellow, you?'

"I like greenish blues..."

"What do you do in your free time?"

I would have answered if that slightly familar voice screamed out from just a bit away.

"I said stop!"

I got up and carefully opened the tent to see a figure struggling to stay standing and pretty soon fell over. I quickly went over to whoever it was and tried to help them up, It was Drake.

I felt a warm liquid pass my fingers, looking down I realized it was blood, dripping from Drake's mouth. Bell was quick to come to Drake's side as she helped prop him up. He shivered and had a hard time breathing, his heart rate was throught the roof.

"Drake? oh my gosh... " She took out a rag and tried to clean up the blood that stained his hands.

"G-go get Grayson."

I nodded and ran towards the Training Hall.

It had been a full hour since Drake had fell over, he had a fever and just wouldn't stop muttering and twitching. Some twitches were small like in his fingers or his ear, but some were full jolts...practiaclly seizures.

Grayson seemed worried, a lot more than he should have been. Bell had said that Drake just had a cold and probaly wasn't reacting well to it, but Grayson knew something the rest of us didn't.

I could tell.

Bell sat next to me, her hand figetting with her goggles, was she nervous?

I stroked her back softly and tilted my head.

"I'm alright... It's just been a long day."

I was a bit surpirised when she leaned against me, her head craddled on my shoulder.

I wanted to smile, man I wanted to smile.

I didn't really remember as to where I fell asleep... but I welcomed it gladly.

My head was filled with memories and voices, places and faces...all forgotten in time.

But for this moment, I enjoyed this little party of two we had going on...it was quiet and warm.

It was home.
