Chapter 30: A Fault In The Plan

When the rebels had gotten into the prison block they ran into problems, problems which Enddie quickly explained.

"They've got Koy and Simon..."

"What! Well this makes things a bit more personal." Belle crossed her arms, Koy was a good friend to everyone in the rebellion and was a wonderful healer who often saved more people in an hour than a normal mage could in a full day. Simon was just as important in the fact that he translated and provided logs for battles and made sure all of the mages had the right supplies.

"They are taking them to the Arena, I don't know how much time we have." 

"Crap..." Theo huffed as his thoughts raced around like a chicken. "Belle, do you have any bottles of mist or smoke pipes?" 

"Of course..." Belle proudly said as she took a bottle with a cloudy pinkish liquid in it.

"See if you can throw them into the stands, that will give me cover to get the group out of the arena. Enddie try to get to Grayson and make sure he's safe, meet up with Charlotte after she's gotten the egg and teleport yourself and Grayson to the Tunnel. Charolette, meet up with me and Belle after you are done at the west wing door. Enddie, get back here as soon as you can to teleport us..." Theo said as he looked at the group.

They all nodded and took to went off to where they needed to be.

Belle stood by a column as the fight soon started as she waited for Theo's signal.

Enddie spotted a guard with the blonde as he made his way towards the throne room. "Daniel, I'll take him, you still have to ask Commander Paitel about the raid on district four. I'd rather you ask him while he is in town than later today when he leaves."

"Of course." The guard left the two standing in the hall.

Enddie looked at Grayson who kept his silence and had the look of regret and heartache in his eyes.

"Why the long face, soon you'll be in the halls of Herot"

Herot

 Another code word that Grayson would know with him being an ex-commander.

A word meaning safety and rescue 

Grayson looked up at Enddie, now with a little pep in his step as they walked towards a hidden spot in the building.

Charlotte did not know how, well she did but that is a story for another time, but she managed to get a hold on the Dragon Egg and slip it into her backpack placing a Magi Lock on it.

She didn't have to wait long as Enddie and Grayson soon showed up. She winced a bit seeing the wound on Grayson's head. "As much as I'd like to take care of that wound now, we have other orders to attend too. " She gave Grayson the backpack. "See you soon egg thief" she said jokingly as she ran off to help Belle and Theo.

Enddie looked at Grayson as he put the backpack on.

"We'll get you friends in a moment but first we need to get you and the egg out of here."

"Thank you..." Grayson smiled for the first time in days as Enddie smiled back and nodded

Before Grayson knew it he felt the world shift and suddenly stop as he now stood in a well lit tunnel. He just about fell over but Raven managed to keep him up right.

"Man didn't think you'd get back here so soon...Name's Raven, just call me Rav..."

"Nice to meet ya..."

"Rav...we've got a problem..."

Rav looked at Enddie who looked pale in fear.

"What?"

"The Empire has a Magic Block on it..."

"I can't teleport back."
