Chapter 95: Safe, Yet Not Sound

Theo was right about one thing, the temporary camp that had been set up was busy and loud.

"I hate loud noises, but we can't really do anything about it," Theo said as his ear twitch a little. 

Raven looked around and found an empty tent for Simon. "Once we get him settled in, I'll go check in with Piper to let them know we're back"

"Alright I'll go to my tent and get some of my medical supplies, they're better than the ones I have now, Theo can you watch over him?" Charlotte said as she walked out, Theo nodded as she left

Raven left to talk to Piper, while Simon slept peacefully. His ginger hair a mess and full of leaves, his face still stained with blood and dirt. But... He looked calm.

Theo just sat there, kind of bored but, every now then he would check to see if Simon is breathing, and Charlotte was gathering her medical supplies

Raven soon came back and sat next to Theo as she looked at Simon."...It should have been me... I was standing next to him..."

"Don't say that raven....what is done it done, we can't change it" Theo said placing a hand on her shoulder.

She sighed softly, "I know but still..." she muttered as she looked up at him.

"Its okay, Raven,  he would've said the same thing if you gotten shot instead of him...that is just part of his stubborn nature." Theo looked back at Raven

Raven gave him a small smile, "Yeah, he would..."

Charlotte came back with her supplies "sorry it took me long my tent was a mess" she said sitting down next to Simon "Its fine Lottie" Theo said

Raven watched as Charlotte started to tend to Simon. He didn't move the whole time, his chest rising and falling evenly.

"Where did it hit?" Raven asked softly as tension seemed high in the tent.

"He got hit on his side under the rib cage, luckily the bullet didn't hit his lung," Charlotte said while cleaning the wound and making sure everything thing looks good

Raven sighed softly relaxing. "So no major damage ...right?"

"Not that I can tell, but I'll check every few hours to see how things are going," Charlotte said as she looked up at Raven

Raven nodded, "as long as you don't stay up too late and let me or Theo take watch... I'm gonna go see if I can help the others." She stood up leaving as now it was just Theo and Charlotte in the tent, Simon still pretty much out cold for the night

"I can't promise anything, "Charlotte said as she just finished cleaning up the wound and as Raven left

"no promises Charlotte? , if I see you walking around... I'm picking up and putting you to bed" Theo said "You can try but you won't succeed Theo" Charlotte smiled warmly.

There was a soft knock on the tent post. "Ding ding... It's me" Bell spoke softly

Bell walked in and flinched and cringed a bit seeing the condition Simon was in. Sure he looked better, but still...

"Hey Bell" Theo said while Charlotte waved

"Hey lovebirds, I'm guessing it was a struggle to get him back here." Bell handed Charlotte a few bottles. "These are to replace the ones you used on Simon."

"Yea it was a struggle, but we did manage to get back thankfully," Theo said looking at bell "thanks," Charlotte said taking the potions and putting then in her bag
