Spencer cleared his throat, his eyes fixated on me.

"Reid? Reid who was that? Hello?" The woman on the other line spoke.

He blinked a few times. "I'm gonna have to call you back." Spencer said as he hung up. His eyes didnt move. The unsettling silence between us was deafening. We stared at eachother blankly.

"Well?" I continued.

Spencers gaze broke as he tried to collect his thoughts. I walked around the couch standing infront of him. His eyes met mine once again.

"Who are you?"

I sighed. "That girl that your friend said died six years ago, yeah thats me."

"I dont understand."

"Well, I got cought up with some bad people. To protect the people I loved, I had to fake my death."

"So wait, for six years you've been doing what exactly?"

"Well, running. Changing names, and states. I've never slept in the same place twice."

Spencers eyes went to the floor in disbelief. The thing is he did believe me. Not many people would. I know its risky to tell a agent from the FBI all of this but maybe hes worth the risk.

"Who are you hiding from? Why are they after you?"

My body tensed up when he asked me that and he could tell.

"Look..." His hands grabbed mine and led me to the cushion next to his. I sat down, my hands still in his. "I get that your scared, but I can't help unless you tell me the whole story."

"The thing is Spence, you couldn't help even if you knew. He'd just kill you."

"I can think of half a million scenarios you're in right now. My team could easily make this a case, if you tell me or not I'll know eventaully."

I took my hands from his and looked over at the fire.

"Whats wrong?"

"I don't want you to die." I whispered.

"Okay, I understand you aren't ready to speak with me about this yet. I wont tell my team but in return you will be staying with me."

My daze on the flames broke to look at him again. "What? No, thats too dangerous. He'd find me."

"I'll have police outside the house. You'll be safe here Angelica."

I just smiled and nodded while he made the call. Within fifteen minutes there were police ouside the cabin.

After like twenty minutes of talking and eating Chinese I tuned on the TV to some cartoons while Spence read a book. I didn't understand how he could read twenty pages within thirty seconds. He smirked as he saw I was enjoying Tom and Jerry.

"What?"

"You know that eighty percent of adults that enjoy cartoons are still immature."

"I am not immature!" I gasped as I threw a pillow at him. He just laughed.
After another hour of hearing his pages turn a mile a minute I could barley keep my eyes open. It had been a long day.

"Hey I"m pretty beat I"m gonna go lie down if thats okay with you?" Spence yawned.

"I was about to sleep too." I started situating the pillows.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting comfortable."

He shook his head. "No, please sleep in the bedroom on the actual bed. I'll sleep on the floor."

"Spence are you sure? You could just sleep on the couch."

"I could but most people feel safe sleeping with someone else in the room."

I nodded at him suprised. We went to bed, the moonlight creeped into the room casting shadows on my face. I fell asleep with my arm under the pillow holding a knife. I might have been "safe" but I wasn't stupid.

After a few minutes I was fast asleep. Suddenly I was in the living room in front of the fire. I was drinking hot tea in a tank top, shorts and cardigan.
I felt a tall, warm body behind me. He gently took off the cardigan letting it drop to the floor. His fingers gently went up my arms, moving all my hair to one side.

He started kissing my neck, making me gasp a little. I closed my eyes and put my tea on the table next to me. Soon after he stopped and I turned around to see Spencer.

His hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me as close as I could get. I put my arms around his neck, playing with his waves.

He was leaning in to kiss me but his eyes widened in shock. I looked down to see a knife leaving his stomach as he fell to the floor.

"NO!" I cried.

The tears in my eyes made my vision blur. I looked up and saw him in a mask.

"Found you." He mocked.

I woke up almost screaming. I kept ghe screams in remembering Spence is on the floor. As I was catching my breath I heard little taps on the window. I tightened my grip on the knife.

"Tap tap tap."

I got up from the bed and slowly walked next to the window.

"Tap tap."

I opened the curtain sharply raising my knife. Only to see it was branches. I dropped the peice of metal from my hands. I was both relieved but exhaused. I was so tired of living in fear.

"Ang?" Spencer called to me in a raspy tone. "Whats wrong?"

I looked at him, fighting tears. "I thought- there was- and the tapping-" My voice trailed off.

He got up and sat on the bed. "Why dont you come lay down, get some rest."

I did as he said and layed down. He got up to go back to the floor.

"Uh, Spence?"

"Hm?"

"Can you lay here with me?"

His mouth opened as if he was gonna say something, but then he stopped. "Of course."

He got in on the other side, unsure of how to situate himself. I thought it was cute how awkward he was. So I rested my head on his chest and moved my leg to go over and intertwine with his.
It took him a moment but he finally relaxed and held me in his arms. He rested his head on mine.

"You don't have to sleep with a knife you know."

"And you dont have to bite your lip everytime you're thinking, which is like all the time."

"You notice that?"

"I notice more than you think Spence."
Soon after that we drifted off to sleep.
