The Frozen Pond

The moment we arrived at the train station, we waited for an hour to get the other train for Pennsylvania. It came, after an hour and we went inside. We sat at two chairs. It's a long journey though. We just slept throughout. Then, I woke up, and the telecom spoke. "1 hr to Pennsylvania." And it repeated. I checked on my phone to see if I have any messages. Ugh. I just feel so guilty. Should I start a conversation? Um, with Dane, Madeline and Joy? It feels awkward but, whatever. I started a group message for them. I texted 'Hey guys, sorry for what happened yesterday. I know this is important for the sake of all children, and I guess Em would be affected by it. But, I'm sorry. I just want to make her proud. We're gonna go to a frozen pond in Burgess, Pennsylvania, where my mom and Em wanted us to go. There are beautiful ponds here, so we'll give it a try. Sorry again guys. I hope you understand.' I clicked send and waited for a message.

My cellphone suddenly buzzed. I'm getting a call from Madeline. "Hello?" I answered. "BURGESS, PENNSYLVANIA?!?!?!?" She suddenly shouted over the phone. "I know, it's where Pitch's lair is." I told him. "It's also the reason Jack Frost died you idot! Dane went to us awhile ago saying you'll do it in Burgess, but I don't wanna believe. But getting a message from you?!?! If you're gonna take Emily to a frozen pond, better it be not a frozen pond from Burgess!!! Joy and I realized how the big four went through a lot of things, and that it's also happening to us!" Maddie exclaimed. "I just apologized to you Maddie. Don't make me shout again. It's Em's special day! I have no choice but to make her happy and go with it. Bye." I hung the phone up. "Was it Dane?" Emily suddnely spoke. I felt she heard our conversation. "Um yeah." I pretended, and so she nodded and then went back to sleep.

"30 minutes to Pennsylvania."

The telecom spoke. An hour has passed by, and we finally arrived in Pennsylvania train station. "Okay Em! Just a bus ride away til we get to Burgess." I told her and she giggled. She was so excited. I don't want to ruin her day because I don't want to risk my own life in that pond. And now that I know what might happen, I have my staff, I have everything right under control. "Hey Lew! There's a brochure in that rack!" I looked to where Em pointed to and saw the brochure. I checked it out. "Oh, tourist attractions! So, let's see if they have ponds here." I told her and she grinned. I turned to the page where the ponds are. Turns out, there were two ponds famous in Pennsylvania. "Look! There is St. Celestine in Grove City, and Chisan Pond in....Burgess, Pennsylvania..." I gulped. Maybe that's the pond where I'll meet my fate. "Well, Chisan Pond it is!" I closed the brochure and put it back in the rack. I went to the bus station wth Em and rode a bus to Burgess.

We arrived within thirty minutes, and checked in first to a near inn. The receptionist booked us 1 room with 2 beds. "Um, may I ask, is Chisan pond a great tourist attraction during winter?" She stared at me. "You sir, plan to go to Chisan pond today? They said someone died there centuries ago. They also said it's haunted." She told me. "It's not anymore a tourist attraction?" I asked again. "I guess it is, but less goes to that pond these days. And winter season is a very bad idea." I looked at Em. "It's okay. I just want to figure skate. We can go home if you'd like." She said but I can feel that she's so depressed about this. "Nope. We're staying." I told her and she grinned. "Be careful though. They said that spirit is very evil." Evil? No way. It's Jack Frost.

We took the room and placed our bags in the room. I took our the figure skating shoes, and my staff, then Em and I went out of the inn and on our way to Chisan Pond. "Hey Lewis, is it true? The evil spirit and of the sort?" I shook my head. "You know, I myself, met that spirit. He's mischieveous and not evil! He actually has a side for fun. And for cenutires, he was lonely. But if anyone could ever knew him. I guess he would have tons of friends." I told her and she laughed. "That is the most stupid joke ever." I chuckled. "It's not stupid, okay?" I told her. We finally arrived at Chisan pond and Em wore her skating shoes.

"Are you sure these are safe?"

"A hundred percent sure!"

I guided her to the pond and her legs started shivering a little bit. "Um, change of plan, Lewis! I don't think skating is my forte!" She told me. Knew it. The same event would happened to me as well, today. "No, we will not turn back. It's time for you to see your abilities! This is one of them, Emily. You can do it. I'm here for you." She can't move. She's just standing tehre, shivering. "LEWIS! I DON'T WANT TO!!!!" She shouted. "Em! Stop it! I'll protect you. Mom told me to protect you. I know, you want this. And I don't have to make you push it through, but I also want you to know that as your big brother, I'll do anything to save you." I told her. Tears streamed down from her eyes. "I know but-" The ice started cracking. "LEWIS!!!" I'm panicking deep inside. I took my staff and chuckled. "Okay Em, we're gonna have little fun. You know, how we used to play hopscotch in the backyard?" She nodded.

"Walk towards me Em."

"I can't."

She said, shivering. "Walk towards me! Believe, just believe Em! Believe me!" I told her. She moved her little legs, and the ice cracked more. It formed a huge crack. "One more!" I told her and one more move, I grabbed her with my staff and we switched places. She looked at me and laughed. "Yeah, it was fun, wasn't it?" I asked her, then the ice I'm standing on cracked, and I fell into the pond. I held my breath. Crap, I don't know how to swim. I looked at the moon. It's so majestic. Then, as I close my eyes, I ran out of breath. Pictures...I see pictures in my head. I see this boy with brown hair. He looks like me! He saved a little girl in this exact same pond. Then different pictures scattered in my head! I suddenly widened my eyes and used my frost powers to emerge. I flew straight up the sky. I remember everything.

"Lewis? Is that you?"

I looked down and saw Em. I landed on the ground. "Lewis!!!" She cried and hugged me. "Emma?" I asked her. "Emily! It's Emily!" She exclaimed. I laughed. "I'm just kidding. Of course I know it's you! I thought I'd lose you!" I told her. "I thought I'd be the one to lose you!" She told me. "Come on, let's go home." I said. "You know what? I don't want to figure skate now, after what happened. It's all so dangerous!" She exclaimed. "I'm glad you noticed." I said and we both laughed.

After that I experienced the moment where Jack Frost's story started, I guess it brings me back his memory. These memories can help us fight Pitch. It will help us.

Okay, I'm not really sure if those ponds were correct, I just did it. I hope not. So, the idea is that they experience or see one onject where their story started. The climax, I mean. Yeah. And, their memories are from the story I made, the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons, not the original. (yeahhh)
