"She should arrive by tomorrow morning," Victoria told Cassius.

"Who is she exactly?" Cassius said.

"I'll let her introduce herself better. Anyways let me get you some real food." Victoria stood up then left the room. Cassius was now alone in his room, and his body still felt weird like it needed something to make up for another being in his body. He coughed up blood again. It hurt his lungs, and he couldn't help but close his heavy eyelids and fall asleep.

Cassius woke up the next day, feeling better. He tried sitting up on his bad, and after a while, he was successful. Despite badly needing to use the bathroom, he realized as he uncovered the sheets he had on pampers. His whole face went red, knowing his mother had to change him, and he put the coves over him. Just when he thought it couldn't get worse.

Victoria opened the door and brought in oatmeal as she saw Cassius was awake. "Cassius, I made your favorite, oatmeal. "She placed the bowl between his legs, so he wouldn't' get burnt.

"Thank you." He took a spoonful of oatmeal, making sure to blow it and ate. For some reason, when he swallowed that first bite, he didn't realize how hungry he was, and he was globbing down the food. He didn't care it was hot, the feeling of the food down his throat felt so good.

"Cassius, you need to slow down."

"This is so good," Casisu said, and his eyes got watery from how good it tasted; it fueled him so much he wanted to cry tears of happiness.

"I didn't realize you were that hungry. I'm going to bring in a second patch once your done."

Cassius ignored her. And Victoria understood, after all, he been getting, his vitiams from the injections she gave him as a way to survive.

He finished his plate and gave it to her. "More please." She was grateful he was eating; she was afraid she would have to force him to eat or keep giving him vitiams. She stood up, grabbed his bowl, and went back to the kitchen. Once she returned, she saw Cassius look out the window.

"It's crazy how there is no more color. Just dark gray mountains with a whitish-gray sky with the white clouds." A wind blew the curtains, and Victoria couldn't help but look down in shame.

"I'm so sorry, Cassius, " Victoria couldn't help but say.

He looked at her. "Why are you apologizing? It isn't your fault."

"Maybe not. But I still can't help but want to apologize to you for everything. I feel like I failed as your parent, from keeping you safe." His eyes widen but then relaxed as she placed the bowl in front of him. He ate slower this time.

"By the way, when is the lady coming?" Cassius asked.

"She should be coming in 30 minutes. I can help you change." Victoria went into his closet and picked out an outfit; it was a simple black shirt with shorts, and Cassius remembered about the pampers, and his face went red.

"By the way, mom, about these pampers?" He said nervously.

"Sorry, but I couldn't continue washing your sheets every three hours. Pampers felt much easier for me."

"Oh, I see." Cassius had a hard time maintaining eye contact with his mother, and she placed the clothes in front of him.

"I'll help you get changed. Whatever you can do, I"ll let you do it on your own."

Cassius was surprised that his mom didn't constantly insist on helping him. It seemed as though she was trusting him to do more, and he appreciated that. But the moment he tried moving his legs, he felt so weak and had a feeling he wouldn't be able to walk well for a while.
