"Welcome, dear. Tell me, what's your name?" Victoria asked Jessica curiously. Cassius sighed as he was next to Jessica on the couch while Victoria was sitting on the spare chair, facing them. It was one thing for Cassius to turn into a rooster, but now he had to bring in an unwanted person to his house; the monster realm was crazier then he anticipated.

"My name is Jessica Jones." She said with a small smile, still feeling nervous.

"Well, nice to meet you. I hope your good friends with my son Cassius." Victoria smiled tenderly.

Jessica avoided eye contact, feeling ashamed. "Well, you see, ma'am, I'm the reason why your son is in this state." Then she looked at Vicotria apologetically. "But I swear it was an accident! I didn't mean to drop a potion on him."

"Tell me, what type of monster are you?"

Cassius thought that was a weird question to ask. And he looked at Jessica's face; she didn't hesitate to answer the question to his mom, no it almost seemed like she was aware of who this monster was. "I'm a B class witch. To be honest, I'm not sure how my experiment worked, but the only time it did work, it managed to turn your son. The potion should last 5-6 hours, so I wanted to walk him home safely."

"Well, I'm glad you took some responsibility. But I still hope you and my son can continue to be good friends. There is no harm done."

Jessica couldn't help but feel relieved at that last statement. "I hope so too. But it seemed like your son doesn't like me very much. And I can't say that I blame him." This caused Victoria to look at her son. Her eyes threatening him, and being a livestock animal didn't help that feeling get any better. Out of all of the animals, he wished he could've turned into something like a dragon, or a full-on vampire-like Pandora.

"Cassius, you will be her friend, won't you." Victoria said as more of a statement rather than a question. Cassius nodded fiercely. He didn't want to be on his mom's bad side; that was suicide.

"Of course, I will," Cassius said meekly.

"Good," Victoria said, smiling. "Now, please don't let me interrupt your play date. I'll be in my room if you need me, " Victoria said as she got up, went to her room, and closed the door behind her.

The two felt awkward until Jessica stood up and spoke. "Well, I'll leave now. I don't want to cause more trouble than I should have."

Cassius couldn't help but see how dismayed Jessica looked. She grabbed the door handle and was about to go until Cassius spoke. "Hey, Jessica?"

She stopped and turned. "Yes?"

"By any chance, do you have any friends?"

She was quiet for a second, then spoke. "I wouldn't exactly say I do. Seeing as my experiments go wrong, many students don't like to be around me," she admitted nervously, blushing mad. She surprised herself for confessing it, but then again, who wouldn't realize it by now.

"Well, I guess... I'll see you tomorrow then."

She nodded her head, hoping she didn't look too enthusiastic and left.

Cassius sighed. He didn't know what to do in his rooster form. He went to his room and just laid down. He never realized how big his bed was. He rested comfortably, trying to ignore the fact he had homework to do. But he wasn't willing to try. Then his mind realized a girl was at his house. The thought surprised him as the only female friend he had at home was Lilith. But this was another one, and she met his mom. He really hoped his mother made a good impression on a girl.
