~That night~

I was finalizing my report when I heard my phone rang. I looked at it and saw it's Rhodey calling.

"Oh, hey Rhodes. What is it?" I asked him while typing on my laptop.

"Tony needs to appear at the Senate Armed Services Committee tomorrow."

"What?? But why?" I asked him.

"It's about him being the Iron Man and the weapons." Rhodey explained.

"You know, Tony won't--"

"I know he won't but I want you to be there."

"Why?"

"Hammer's gonna be there to oppose Tony."

"Will I be part of the Committee?" I asked teasingly.

"Yes, you will. And you gotta thank me for that. Don't tell Tony yet, alright?"

"I won't, I promise." I said.

"Good. I gotta go, Y/N. Take care."

"Take care, Rhodes." I said as I ended the call. Just then, I began my new work: Project 'Help Tony'. As I was working, my phone rang again. I looked at it and saw it's Fury.

"Hey." I said as I answered the call.

"You need to see this." Fury said as I heard a notification beeped in my laptop. I looked at it and saw a couple of footages from Justin Hammer.

"Fury, you're my guardian angel! I need this for tomorrow." I said.

"Make use of it." Fury said as he ended the call. I grabbed my phone and began to transmit the footages to my phone. I looked at the laptop while smirking.

"Hammer, you son of a bitch!" I said and smirked.

~The following day~

~9 AM; Washington, DC~

I arrived at the court house and I was about to make my way when I felt my phone buzzed. I looked at the message and saw it was Rhodes.

As I sent the message, I turned to the corner and saw the door of the court room, to where they are. I heard Rhodey began to introduced me.

"I invited one of the most respectable friend of mine who can tell us what will be beneficial for Iron Man. Your Honor, can I introduce her?" Rhodey asked.

"Yes you may, Colonel Rhodes." I heard Senator Stern said.

"May I present, Ms. Y/N Y/L/N." I heard Rhodey said. I pushed the door open and I saw everybody looking at me. Tony looked shocked as I went near them. Tony stood up and he went near me.

"Stay professional, Stark." I told him sternly as he just nodded his head and he sat again on his chair and I took a seat beside him.

"Good morning committee." I said as I smiled at them.

"Your Honor if I may ask, what is she doing here? For all we know, she's just going to defend Anthony Stark--" I decided to cut off Justin.

"Hey Hammer, still afraid?" I said to my own microphone as he looked at me and gave me a small glare. I looked back at him and smirked.
