Engagement

Hey guys! Today's my first time writing this long chapter. Hope you like it and don't get bored.

Swara was anxious the whole night, she tried to speak to Rithvik but he was not at home. She tried calling him but he was not picking up the calls.

She went to Abhi's room to inform him about Rithvik.

"Dada! Rithu dada is not home yet. I tried calling him but he is not picking up my calls," she worriedly tells him.

"Shhh... Doll, calm down and don't worry Rithu called me and told that he is staying at his friend's place for the night and said something about some presentation. He will cone tomorrow before the engagement.

The day of the engagement ~

The whole Sardeshmukh mansion was decorated magnificently. Since two Sardeshmukh brothers were getting engaged so the function was held there.

All the guests had arrived, both the to-be-brides had arrived. Both were looking very beautiful but the difference was one was happy while the other was gloomy. One was looking at her fiance with lots of love while the other was searching for her love.

Abhi admires Ruhi while the latter blushes. He excuses himself from his friends and goes towards her.

"Ruhi... You look... So beautiful," he says in awe.

Ruhi blushes and shyly replies, "Thanks Abhi. You look handsome as well."

Abhi smiles at her blushing self and holds her hand.

Ansh comes down and smiles at her which she returns with her own small smile.

Ansh frowns seeing her dull face and goes to talk to her but his father stops him and introduces him to some of his business clients.

Just then Rithvik enters the hall and immediately Aashi's eyes land on him. She stares at him with a painful gaze but he just moved away from her with a hidden tears in his eyes.

Swayyam notices him and rushes him to his room to get ready.

As soon as Rithvik reaches his room, he finds Swara sitting on his bed biting her nails.

"Choco pie! What are you doing here?  Shouldn't you be down there with our brothers? " he asks her.

"Dada I've to talk to about something important," she says and narrates the entire happenings of the day she went to Aashi's house.

Rithvik gets shocked but thinks of Ansh and asks her to keep the matter to herself.

Swara sighs and leaves the matter to their fates. Sanskar who was standing alone in a corner, but as soon as his gaze lands on her, he stares at her like she is his entire world.

Swara feels a scrutinizing gaze on her and looks in that direction and notices Sanskar staring and unknowingly blushes. Sanskar gives a smirk and she realises what she is doing and childishly shows her tongue to him making him chuckle at her cuteness.

Swara very royally ignores him or tries to ignore him since his gaze followed her everywhere.

After sometime Rithvik comes down and the priest calls both the couples for the ceremony.

Abhi and Ruhi come and sit on the sofa placed and Shivaji calls Swara for performing the ritual of tilak.

Swara comes with a thaal (plate) and puts vermillion (kumkum) on both their foreheads and sprinkles rice grains on their heads.
