You never really had a stable life.

Once you were born, the doctors found out that you were blind. After hearing that, your parents didn't even want to look at you. They left the hospital just as you were laid down into a bassinet. With no parents, you were sent to a home. And an all-girl one too.

For as long as you can remember, you've been picked on for being blind. Harsh words and sometimes punches were thrown your way. With all that and the guilt for being born blind piling up, you had no place to find comfort. So you found it in food. You began to stress eat whenever things got really bad. And with the stress eating, came the weight. You gained quite a few pounds and was labeled "the fat blind bitch" by the other kids. You weren't overweight exactly, you just had some chub in places. This made you even more self-conscious than before.

And to make things better, at the age of 12 you discovered that you had powers. You were at school in the library. Students around you whispered about you. Saying mean things and taunting you. You had been in a bad mood all day and these things only made you even angrier. You felt a dull humming feeling begin inside you with every comment. It slowly grew louder and louder until you couldn't take it. You slammed your book closed and when you did, all the computers and lights sparked and blew out. You ran after that.

It wasn't the only time that had happened too. It happened every now and then when the things they said really got to you. But you also learned how to control it and manipulate it. You, of course, didn't fly under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar. At the age of 17, two agents showed up at the doorstep of the home and asked to see you. You went with them in a heartbeat.

They helped you. They trained you. Even though it was a bit more difficult being blind.

But no matter what some things didn't change.

You were still plagued by the mean comments the other kids had said. They stuck with you. Pushing you to better yourself. And you tried. You really did. You trained and worked twice as hard to better yourself. But no matter what, you still had reminders.

You couldn't seem to lose your chub. You'd work out day in and day out. But you could never lose it. Plus it didn't help that you still stress ate. It wasn't as bad now but you still stress ate. You tried to stop. You really did.

But then you met him. The Tony Stark. And for some reason, he was smitten with you.

It was at a conference that you met him. You were off to the side while he was front and center. He couldn't help but notice you. He thought that you were beautiful. Even with your chub. So after the conference, he went up to you, introduced himself and you two hit it off. It started off with a casual coffee date then escalated into dinner dates. After about 6 dates you two made it official. And to this day he was your boyfriend. He didn't care that you were blind. He didn't care that you were chubby. In fact, he loved it. Not the being blind part though. He didn't mind but he did get a kick out of it when you would accidentally run into walls or tables. He even pulled a prank on you by moving everything in the tower a few inches out of their spots. You hit every object that day. But he loved you. And he loved your body. He, and you quote, said that "there's more of you to love" which made you burst out crying. You couldn't ask for a better boyfriend.

It was a long stressful day at work. Your fingers hurt from reading Braille all day and you were tired. You had only a few more papers left and decided to go to the break room to get some coffee. As you were filling your cup, you couldn't help but overhear two agents talking.

"She's such a cow."

"I know. How Stark even loves her is beyond me. She's blind and fat. Why would he want her?"

Your coffee ended up on the floor.

You didn't even bother to go back to your office and finish those papers. You jumped on the elevator and rode it up to the Avengers' shared kitchen. Once arrived you headed straight to the snack cabinet. Their comments had really gotten to you.

As you were eating a muffin the elevator dinged. You quickly threw the remaining muffin the one trash bin and grabbed a bottle of water.

"What are you doing up here baby?" It was Tony. You stood by the counter, leaning on it.

"Tony?"

"Yes, babe?" He was behind you now, wrapping his arms around your waist and pressing kisses to your exposed neck.

"Why do you love me?" He stopped his kissing.

"Alright, who said it. I want names. They're getting their asses fired." Tony spun you around to look at your face. That's when the tears started.

You told him everything. From the beginning of your crappy day to the end. You told him about the comments and how you felt. You were sobbing by the end of it. Once you were finished he let out a sigh and brought you into an embrace.

"You want to know why I love you? Well, here you go. I love you because you're you. You don't try to pretend that your someone else just to try to win my affection. You stay true to you. I've been with you through a lot. I've seen how you try to better yourself and I admire you for that. I've seen how you try to better your ways. I hate that you feel so self-conscious about yourself. I love you. I love all of you. There's so much of you to love," he squished your sides when he said that, eliciting a squeak and a laugh from you, "I don't care that you're not skinny. To be honest, I prefer you this way. You're nice and soft, perfect to hug and cuddle with. And I also don't care that you're blind. To be honest, it's added some humor into my life," he received a small smack to his arm for that, "Hey! I mean it in a good way! We've both had a few laughs over it. But in all honesty, I love you because you're you. Through and through. And I love you because you've been true to me. You don't have an interest in my money or fame. You don't care that I have a piece of metal in my chest. I love you because you've been with me through it all. Through every nightmare, panic attack, and sleepless nights. So yeah. That's why I love you."

You had tears streaming down your face at this point. You could only mutter 'I love you' to him. You hugged each other for a while before Tony lifted you up with your legs around his waist.

"Am I not heavy?" You asked.

"Nope. Just right."

While he was still holding you, be walked over to the elevator, pressed the button for his floor, and pushed you up against the metal wall.

"And what are you doing?" You smiled

"You and I, are going to go cuddle. Cause I'm pretty sure that we both need a serious cuddle session."

The elevator dinged and he walked out. Still carrying you. He had some serious dedication. He carried you to your shared bedroom and set you down on the bed. You got comfy and he followed suit. You couldn't see him but he was behind you, clinging to you like a kola. He had his arms around your torso and his legs intertwined with yours.

"I love you so much. I got so lucky." He whispered.

"If anything, I'm the one who got lucky. Thank you, Tony. I love you."
