You've really had enough of your dad still trying to control you. You are a 19 yr old college sophomore and still are having fights about getting a tattoo with your own money. Trying to take off from the family dinner at a restaurant with a dramatic flair really is hard when a block away is a traffic jam from some kind of event. There were so many screaming 15 yr old lined up fighting to get in. You are not up on the latest heartthrob because you only got social media a year ago when you graduated.

Stopped at a light you replayed your argument in your head. As you stared down at the cute butterfly tattoo on your shoulder a loud honk made you realize the light had changed and you hit the gas without looking up. Just as a car almost hit you, you swerved to the side of the road behind a building. All the emotions of the fight with your dad and your near accident boiled over with tears. You were snapped back to reality with a knock on your window
J: "Are you my Uber?"
YN: still crying, "Does this car look like a yellow cab?"
J: with the most adorable grin "Ubers come in all shapes and colors ya know?"

J: "Wait, why are you crying, is everything ok?"
You're so overwhelmed that you spill everything, forgetting this really cute boy is a stranger. After an hour a cop pulls up behind you and shines his lights in your car. It occurs to Jaden this probably looks like a drug deal so he hops in
J: "Quick drive!!"
YN: "Where do you expect me to go, I don't even know where I am"
J: "Just drive!!"
After a few high speed turns you pull into a parking lot and Jaden hops out. You don't know where he is going, but you know you aren't ready to say goodbye to this ridiculously hot stranger yet. You start to panic as he disappears without a word into the gas station. You decide to pull up and get gas before your dad puts a track on your credit card. As you finish pumping Jaden jogs up to you and holds out 2 bottles
J: "I didn't know what you liked so you pick first"
YN: "Oooh I'll take the iced tea if you don't mind the Gatorade"
J: *winks* "perfect match... that's my girl"
Wow, every part of that exchange made your stomach do flips. You turn to get back into the car and Jaden blocks you.
J: "Do you think maybe I could drive?"
YN: "What? No. I couldn't. I barely even know you"
J: "You did me a huge favor and I want to take you somewhere special to say thank you"
You realized you were probably always going to be a sucker for that smile and gave in. Jaden drives you to the beach and the two of you sit in the dark on the sand talking for hours. You tell him about the fights you and your family have been getting in lately.
YN: "They don't want me to grow up"
J: "That tattoo seems pretty grown-up to me"
Jaden brushes your hair off your shoulder. You're feeling more butterflies than just your tattoo. Jaden tells you about his girlfriend. They fought at the convention that made him take off
YN: "The convention? You mean the group of hot boys being chased by thousands of girls?"
J: "Yep that's the one, I'm on TikTok and that's the big thing right now"
Things get awkwardly silent after you say you've never heard of it. After a few minutes, Jaden bumps his shoulder against yours. He smiles when you look up at him
J: "So what I'm hearing is you think I'm a hot boy"
YN: "OMG I so totally did not"
J: *smiles* "you so totally did"
God, that smile
J: "Do you think you could drive me home on your way?"
YN: "Sure I am in NO hurry to go home and keep fighting with my dad"
J: "Hey, why don't you come to stay at my house for a few days"
YN: "But you have a gf... wouldn't she flip?"
J: "Nah it's not just my house, I live with roommates who are all creators and we have guests all the time"
That sounds so amazing and you jump at the offer. You are a little nervous about not knowing him longer, not to mention worried about running into the girlfriend, but the way that boy smiles at you drowns out all the doubts. On the car ride to his house, you let him drive he blasts your radio and you can't help but notice his voice as he sings along to a Ruel song. It is as gorgeous as he is and he turns and looks you in the eyes just as the lyrics say "I wonder if you feel the same"
