Harleigh's POV
Laying back in my chair, I was patting my stomach from the fullness.
I had managed to not only eat a full plate of scrambled eggs and bacon, but 2 stacks of nutella pancakes with strawberries.
" That was absolutely divine." Jay puffed out.
We all shook our head in agreement.
My grandma walked over, after she got done serving her other customers.
" You kids want some more?" She questioned.
We all sat up quickly in our chairs, shaking our heads violently.
" No!" We shouted in sync.
She put her hands up, and she chuckled.
" Okay. Calm down."
Jared and Jay both pulled out there wallets ready to pay for the huge meal we just ate.
My grandma looked at them, with her hands on her hips.
" What do you boys think your doing?" She asked.
They both looked at each other, with a confused expression then back at my grandma.
" Uhh.. paying?" Jared said.
She waved her hand in a dismissing manner.
" It's on the house."
We all looked at each other with wide eyes, then back at her.
" Ma'am we can pay." Jared said politely.
She shook her head.
" No worries. Please it's my treat."
Both the boys looked at each other putting their wallets away.
" Thank you Ma'am." Jay said.
" Yeah, thank you. Feel free to let us know if you need help with anything or if there is anyway we can repay you." Jared said.
She looked at both of them, then at me.
" You already did by bringing me my granddaughter."
I smiled brightly at her.
Brynn's phone dinged causing her to pull it out of her back pocket.
She turned her phone towards Jared so he could read what was on the screen.
After he read it he shook and understanding head, then stood up.
" I hate to cut this short but I have to get Brynn home to her mom. But thank you I really appreciate it." Jared told one grandma one last time.
I looked up to Brynn with a questioning look.
" Everything okay?"
" Yeah. My mom just needs me home to help with William." She said as she pushed her chair in.
Jared walked out from behind the table allowing Brynn out.
" Thank you Marie, really." Brynn said leaning in to give my grandma a hug.
My grandma wrapped her arms around Brynn giving her a tight squeeze before letting go.
" You coming Jay?" Jared questioned.
Jay stood up out of his chair.
" Yeah man."
I put my hand on his forearm stopping him.
