____ I bite my lip as I unlock the car doors and since no ones around she speeds over to the passenger side.
She moves my bag to the floor and sits down locking the doors again.
"Talk to me Masen." She sighs out while taking my hand in hers and rubbing my hand soothingly.
"I just. I've been waiting for what feels like forever, and I know people wait longer for their mate. But I finally found him. And his species is literally designed to kill mine. To kill me. I know I saw the future and that we do end up together, but this- the beginning. What if he changes his mind Rose?" I whimper again, putting my forehead back against the steering wheel.
"You're right. His species was made to kill ours." She says her normal blunt tone.
"Wow. Thanks Rose I feel great now!" I cheer sarcastically as I feel the venom welling up in my eyes once more.
"I was finished. Yes his species was made to kill ours. But he was made for you. As you were made for him. You two are meant to be Masen. It might take time, but it'll work itself out. Okay?" Rose softly says as her phone suddenly starts buzzing in her pocket.
I nod my head at her heartfelt statement as she pulls her phone out and answers it.
"What Emmett?" She says into her phone while looking at me.
"Well hello to you too gorgeous! But seriously come back to class. It's boring without you." Emmetts pleads into the phone.
She looks over to me as if asking for permission, "I'm okay now Rose, I'll probably head to the grocery store." I shrug while unlocking the car doors.
"Okay yeah I'm coming." She says into the phone while quickly hanging up after.
"You sure you're going to be okay Mase?" She asks while studying my face for any changes.
I smile at her and nod my head, "I'm okay now Rosie, but I'm going to get ice cream too." I laugh at her disgusted face.
"Okay go hurry! Before the bathroom excuse isn't believable!" I usher her out and our wind chime laughter fills the air.
"Alright. Be careful please." She says as she runs to the front of the school.
I sigh and start the engine. I flip down the visor and check my eyes to see if the venom made a mess. Thankfully enough, it didn't.
I flipped the visor back up and sped out of the parking lot, deciding I should probably hunt before going to the store. I turned up my music while singing along to it, as I made my way home to hunt.
