Chapter 36

It will have been at least an hour, but finally we managed to bake a cake that seems to be decent.

Mingi went to his room to lie down, complaining that he was tired and that Hongjoong better appreciate our efforts for his birthday.

In the meantime, I remain alone in the kitchen with Wooyoung.
We are at the sink, one next to the other. I wash the dishes and he dries them.

I can't help taking advantage of the situation, I need to know..

"Wooyoung..Who is Amber?"
The loud noise of a plate shattering on the ground echoes in the room;
Wooyoung looks at me with wide eyes, and seems almost frightened.

"Who told you-?"
He asks me in a low voice, despite we are completely alone.
"Yunseo.."
He shakes his head, as if he were disappointed by my best friend.

"Who is it? An ex of San?"
I insist, looking for an answer that I know he can give me.
"You don't have to name her Julia"

What happened to this girl and why nobody talks about it..

I'm going to keep insisting, to make him give up and reveal the truth, but two arms suddenly surround my waist.

"What do you two whisper?"
San asks, resting his chin on my shoulder.

Wooyoung's gaze falls on San's hands, firmly positioned on my belly, before looking at him.
"Nothing important. Where's Hongjoong?"
Wooyoung replies, immediately changing the subject and assuming the usual calm and playful expression.
I wonder how he does it.

"He told me he had to meet with his partner for the project"
San moves a lock of hair behind my ear and gives me a quick kiss on the neck. And this gesture does not go unnoticed to Wooyoung, who gives me a look that I cannot decipher.

"Perfect, so we still have some time to prepare the last things."

Yunho and Yeosang enter the kitchen.
They both wear sports clothes and look fatigued, I guess they were working out together.

"What is this good smell?"
Yeosang asks, sniffing the air in a funny way.

"The birthday cake for Hongjoong"
I say, proud of my creation.

"Can't wait to taste it"
Yunho says, glancing at the oven.

"If I catch you eating it before tonight you're dead!"
Wooyoung warns him, and I can't hold back a chuckle, he sounded just like a mom.

"Ok gentleman, it's time for me to go study"
San says as soon as the kitchen starts to get crowded.

I'm about to ask him if we can spend some time together, but he's faster than me.

"Oh my gosh! San put me down!!"
I scream as soon as he loads me on his shoulder as easily as if I were a pillow.

"I can't study without my teacher"
What the hell is he talking about?
All the other guys look at us and I think I'm red from embarrassment.

Nobody knew that we are together ..
If we are together..
We haven't even talked about it yet.

I certainly wasn't expecting this.. whatever it is.
