Ch-38 Tempest

I also activated [Sharpening], which made the blade sharper.

With [Sharpening] and [Vibration] combined I should be able to cut through their shields.

As I was finished, the golem from earlier rushed towards me, it tried to attack me but I dogged it and cut off his legs. It was clean cut Just above its knees and now it was immobile and fell on the ground. I then pierced its chest with my sword. It also vibrated a bit and then broke into pieces that soon disappeared.

I was once again surrounded by golems. They were one meter away from me and suddenly rushed toward me. I was already tired and against so many golems I was barely keeping up.

I was blocking all the attacks they were throwing. I tried to attack but every time I would deflect an attack and tried to counterattack, another attack would come and stop me from doing so.

There were many cuts on my body because of which I was losing blood.

Maybe this is why they call it Tempest. I thought as I was continuously fighting the golems

My fatigue was increasing with the attack I defend. I was reaching my limit and was barely keeping up. My hand was going numb and was about to lose consciousness a bright white light engulfed me and I was in front of a door.

I was confused about my situation but then I understood my situation.

|| It seems I lose.
I said as I looked back at the room with the golems.

This was one of the features of Tempest. When the student would lose, it would teleport them to the front of the door. All the injuries they received in the room would also be healed, but fatigue, muscle pain, and blood loss would not be healed.

I then opened the door to get out.

I wonder how long was I there? I thought as I stepped outside the room.

As I walked out I greeted with a large crowd of students staring at me. All of them had an expression of surprise and amusement on their face. between the crowd, I found Michi, Cirun, and Kuril. Kuril and Cirun were also surprised while Michi, on the other hand, was not surprised at all. She had a normal expression on her face.

Seriously what happened.

I walked to Cirun and asked him about what happened.

He was silent for a few seconds before answering.

|| Dude, what are you?

|| Huh?

|| Dude you were in there for a total of 3 minutes.

|| Was I? But what about-

Oh, now I understood. I am a first-year and on top of that today was the first day of school and I lasted 3 minutes in Tempest. Of course, everyone will be surprised.

Now that I was aware of the fact of I started a murmur between students.

|| 3 minutes.

|| Where did this guy cane from?

|| Is he really just a first year?

Oh no, this is getting a bigger problem. I thought as I noticed that everyone now was staring me with suspicion.

The four of us, knowing that staying here could turn into a bigger problem, decided to get out of the training arena as soon as possible.

|| Man that sure was awesome tho.
Cirun said.

|| What was "awesome" about that situation.
I said in a satirical tone.

|| Well you lasting a whole 3 minutes was awesome. Just how did you do that.

|| I wonder. Maybe it's because of all the training with my master's.

|| You master? Just who is the guy to train you to a monster.

|| Hey that's rude you know. Anyway, my master is no big deal, he is just a retired knight.

Well, made not only a knight tho. He was the commanding officer of one of the important and powerful knights squad. He never told me about the group or about his exact position since he didn't care about them so I didn't ask. But he did tell me about many stories of him and his squad's mission.

I didn't tell him his real identity because I didn't want more problems by letting everyone know that my combat teacher is a commander knight and not just any normal knight.

But I don't think Cirun was satisfied with my answer but he didn't ask further.

|| But I am curious.
Kuril said while facing Michi.
|| Why weren't you surprised back then?

Hmm? Come to think of it Michi was not surprised at all. But I more or less know the answer already.

|| Well because this is not the first surprising thing Master has done. I have been with the master for 7 seven years and in that time he has done so many absurd things that I am not surprised by small things like that.

Cirun and Kuril were a little surprised by Michi saying "small thing". But they didn't say anything.

After that, we visited the cafeteria. There was nothing special there. It was a big room with a counter on one side meant for serving food. The rest had many tables of different sizes but mainly were big enough for six students.

Since it was time for dinner we ate there and then went to our rooms.

|| Today was an exciting day.

I said as I lied down on my bed.

I looked around as I confirmed that I was finally going to start my school life.

Looking forward to my school life I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

*** A certain dormitory room ***

|| Damn those kids. Embarrassing me, the second son of the Morris family. Your four will pay. Pay for your sins. Your damn bastards.

Slowly a sinister smile grew in his face

Author's Note:- oh man Alven is soon getting into big troubles. But it sure will be interesting.

Now Alven is going to start his school life but it will take some time because I have decided to take a break.

As you may have noticed that the character description of Cirun, Kuril, and that noble son and many other characters is missing and I want to sort that out. Because honestly, I am also unclear about that.

There are also many things about the story that I want to sort out so I will be taking a break probably for the whole of June and July. I am not sure but I will try to come back as soon as possible.
