Ch-9 Some Real Magic - II

|| Al tell me how did you measure the volume

That's teach who is very curious to know that how I measured the volume of a spherical object which is not very hard for someone who had lived in a world that have very advanced technologies but for him, who is living in a world having almost no technological development, volume of a spherical object was very out of the world thing.

And now I am in a big mess as I don't know how I explain how a 4-year-old boy knows something that not even some very talented don't now.

|| Um... I... I measured it... because.. of ... a dream I had. Yes a dream, it was all due to a dream.

|| A dream?

|| Yes, one day when I was reading about the basics of spirit magic I fell asleep and I had a weird dream in which I saw this weird set of numbers which helped me to calculate the volume of spherical objects.

|| What were those set of numbers?

|| I don't know. I don't remember much but I do remember that the number it consisted of the distance of its center from its outermost surface and some constant numbers.

After that teach didn't ask further because he thought it was all because of a "dream".

Then I also cast water ball, earth bullet, and wind slash. And as expected every one of them was unexpectedly powerful. Water ball just like a fireball was big and fast, earth bullet was small but because I was imagining a real bullet at the time of chanting, it formed the shape of a bullet and was very, very fast, wind slash because of the increased pressure, was very sharp and cut through the target.

But there was a problem every time I performed any magic. I wasn't able to control the power, after seeing teach's reaction for fireball I didn't want to something extraordinary so I tried to control the magic but I failed every time I tried

|| Al that was perfect, and very extraordinary

|| Teach there is a problem. I am not able to control the magic power.

|| Don't worry Al, that is because of your mana output, you are using more mana than needed.

|| But how do I control the mana output, I tried it but I didn't get the hold of it.

|| Practice.

|| Practice?

|| Yes Al practice, not everything can be learned in the first try, some also take days or months of practice, and mana control is one of them.

|| So I have to perform magic again and again for this.

|| Yes, but not only magic you can also do mana circulation or you can also do some very basic magic like basic water or wind magic.

|| Yes teach

After that, I practiced magic a lot. I used basic water magic to water flowers in the garden and wind blow to clear the leaves from the garden.

That week I only practiced controlling my mana so I don't overwhelm magic. And the next week.

|| Okay Al, you have been practicing to control your mana, let's do a little test.

|| Okay then, there are five targets in front of you, as you can see everyone is of different size. You have to shoot fireball and water ball of the same size as that of the target without destroying it.

Then I started chanting magic sequence fireball, unlike last time I was controlling my mana very properly this time. As I completed the chant a red, hot ball of fireball went right to the target, it was about the same size that of target and wasn't very powerful to destroy the target.

As it hit the target I started chanting magic sequence for waterfall and it was also about the same size as that of target and also didn't destroyed it.

Then I consecutively shoot fireball and waterfall consecutively at each target and all of them were about the same size as that of target and the power was to destroy the target.

I was starting to get better control of my mana output and spells. For the next month, all I was practicing was controlling my mana output and controlling the spells to a very great extinct.

Now I was able to use basic Spirit Magic spells with much more control. I was able to control the size, speed, power and also use them consecutively. 

I tried to mix two or more spells like those main characters from popular LN, but I failed. But I was happy with what I can do and I was learning more and more every day.
