I gotta whole 'nother level of respct for y'all lmaoooo. Y'all was really bouta go check out my mixtape, though? I was just playing , y'all. I'm honestly so weak right now. Let me find out y'all would stan for me if I dropped some shit. Everybody and they momma gettin' some change when I make it. Lol, enough of this. On to the story.

CAMILLE

I took a in the seat next to Trinity, which was positioned directly behind the seat that Eve was occupying.

"You not gonna sit next to your boo?"

I scrunched my face up at Trinity's joke, slightly frowning as she flipped another pagee of her Essence magazine. Eve laughed as I made myself comfortable, mumbling a response. "Shut up."

We were currently boarding the plane for our departure to New York. August had been sweet-talking me all week, and honestly, while I couldn't deny that I was loving it, the shit was scaring me. I'd never seen him act so.......respectful. He wasn't completely kissin' ass, but he wasn't too far from the damn cheek.

Yesterday, he complimented my hair, which I'd went out on a tangent and decided to straighten. Not to mention the whole nail incident. This morning, we all witnessed him kicking Mallorie out of his room. And by the way she was fuming, it was obvious she'd been rejected.

They were small gestures, but they counted for something. But I'd long ago decided I was no longer gonna make myself vunerable when it came to him. Which meant I wsn't giving in to the little things he'd been doing to get on my good side. It wa cute, but it wasn't changing anything in my eyes.

Of course, Eve and Trinity said otherwise when my love life had all of a sudden become the topic of discussion for whatever reason.

"Girl, he has a soft spot for you. And whether or not you can admit it, you miss him. Your feelings are just hurt from the way he was acting before."

The sound of seatbelts could be heard clicking as the flight attendant surveyed the area, making sure everyone was safely buckled. A few minutes after take off, I felt my phone vibrate, causing for me to narrow my eyes in surprise.

Ignoring Trinity and Eve, who were still engaged in a conversation involving August's "soft spot" for me, I took my phone out, slightly rolling my eyes when I noticed the text I'd just recieved.

August: Come here.

Although his temper had noticeably decreased, he was undoubtedly the same demanding AUgust, and that would probably never chnage. Debating with myself for a moment, I sighed before unbuckling my seatbelt and standing. Eve gave me a suspicious look. "Where you finna go?"

"I have to pee." I grabbed my carry on, which happened to be my purse. There was no way that I was telling the two of them where I was actually headed. I would never hear the end of it.

"Well, hurry up. Don't be tryna avoid all this truth hittin' you in the face."

I rolled my eyes again before turning and heading in the direction of the bathroom. August had reserved the entire plane for us, seeing as this was supposed to be a "Business" affair. Instead of going inside, I continued straight, towards the direction in which I knew August was seated, along with Black, Trim, and Bone. But when I got there, I saw that the only person seated was August, who was resting his head against the seat with his eyes shut.

At the sound of me approaching him, he slightly opened his eyes. I felt my heart flutter a little at the sight of his low eyes. For whatever reason, his low gaze always had a slight affect on me.

"Don't you know how dangerous it is for you to be using your phone on a plane?"

I took a seat in the aisle across from him, slightly shaking my head.

"Well, you came, so dat tell me dat you breakin' tha rules just as much as I am." He shot me a smile and I couldn't help but to smile back, chuckling.

"Anyway." I could feel myself beginning to blush under his stare as I folded my legs under my body. "What'd you need?"

He stared at me a little while longer, causing for me to avert my eyes.

"I jus' need somebody ta talk to."

I couldn't help myself as my lips involuntarily curved into a  frown. "You got all these niggas to talk to. My presence isn't really needed."

After the words left my mouth, I realized how blunt I'd come off. He looked at me, slightly sitting up from his lounged position. "Well, I wanna talk ta you."

Once again, I felt my cheeks heat up. I couldn't help but to ask, "Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?"

If I'd caught him off guard with my questioning, he didn't show it. He did, however, appear irritated.  "That's what you want, no?"

I held back a laugh. Whoever had been coaching him through this process evidently had failed to instruct him how to properly approach a female. His smart ass mouth would proabbaly forever be a downfall.

"I'm not asking you to do anything. So don't come to me acting like I better appreciate the fact that you're shooting a few compliments my way. I don't know what kinda game you call yourself playing, but if I was gonna fall back into your embrace, it'd take a hell of a lot more than a few compliments and smiles to do so."

I could feel my temperature rising as I stood, gathering my belongings. Before I could brush past him, he grabbed my arm. "Aye."

Irritated, I turned to look at him. "What, August?"

He sighed and gestured for me to sit down. "I'm sahrry. Jus' sit down, and lemme talk ta you."

My eyebrows lifted in surprise. Usually it was "Sit yo ass down," or "Bring yo ass hea'." His choice of words surprised me, and I sat down for that reason. I stared at him for a moment before gesturing for him to talk.

"I ain't tryna argue witchu, aight? So you can chill wit' yo lil attitude."

I scoffed at him, folding my arms.

"Well excuse me for bein' a little confused. You're all, "I like yo' nails, I like yo hair...." I imitated him, deepenin' my voice in the process, "and just last week you were on a whole 'nother level."

He stroked his chin, and looked off before responding. "Look, we got this big ass event comin' up. Ion need ta be gettin' on yo damn nerves, and you'on needa be gettin' on mine. I know we done both did some fucked up shit. And I apologize fa dat. But I'm tryna be civilized and offer an apology. So, whateva messed up shit we had goin' against eachotha befa now, is dead, aight?"

I looked in his eyes, searching for even a hint of lie. When I saw none, I sighed, nodding. "Okay. Alright."

He glanced at me, slightly chuckling. "A nigga was trippin', huh?"

I laughed, feeling myself become less tense. "Trippin' ain't even the word. You were kind of being an asshole."

He shook his head, laughing with me. We ccontinued to talk, and I found myself actually enjoying the conversation.

We weren't together, and probably wouldn't be. But, I was fine with that. We were on good terms for now.

That was enough.

A/N: All that, and Camille still talkin about they not gon' be together. That's some shit, lol. What do y'all think? Are they gonna end up together? If you think so, comment and make up one of those ugly ass celebrity couple names for them. I wanna see what y'all come up with lol. If not, comment and tell me why there is absolutely NO way they'll end up together.
