A deja-vu hit Saanvi. Flashbacks of her almost-marriage back in her time hit her.
'What is it with me and weddings? Why do I always end up with the wrong groom?'
'Or maybe, Shantanu is my right groom.' 'But I don't love him!'
'So what? He loves me. And that us more than most get. Maybe he is my destiny.' Am I kidding myself? I am tired of running away.'
Saanvi sat on her bed and folded her hands in prayer.
"Hare Krishna! I am putting my fate in your hands now. If I end up getting married to shantanu, I will accept him as my husband considering him to be your gift to me."
Thinking this, Saanvi decided to get ready for the mehendi ritual which was to take place in an hour.
For the event, a green dress was gifted to her by her soon to be mother-in-law.
Dushala was also given a green dress by her in laws.
Both the girls' functions were to happen simultaneously.
Saanvi completed her morning rituals, and donned the green lehenga with some light jewelry given to her by Maa Kunti.
Throughout the event, Saanvi's eyes kept searching for Karna, but he was nowhere to be seen.
In fact none of the pandavas were present for the ceremony. Saanvi was upset.
All the ladies of the palace applied a little mehendi on her and Dushala's hands. Some made little flowers while some drew auspicious peacocks.
