57: Caleb's 2nd Marriage

Caleb kept his promise. Lately, he become the good guy a woman would wish for. He's been doing great for the past days, pinanindigan nya ang sinabi nya na magiging maayos na sya. Magiging maayos na sya para sa mapapangasawa at para sa magiging anak nila. For the family that he's building.

He already admit to himself na nagsisisi sya sa gulong kinahantungan ng buhay nya. But he doesn't want to be unfair to his child. His child in Kylie's womb must be the key that'll lead them for a better relationship.

Ernesto said he'll stood his son on his actual wedding day, but he's still a father to Caleb. And at the end of the day, he is still his son and they are still a family. Kaya naman kahit sinabi nyang wala syang pakialam sa kasalang Kylie at Caleb, he swallowed his pride at umattend parin ng seremonya.

It's a church wedding. Usually sa simbahang yon ay dalawa o tatlong couples ang kinakasal, but it was different now dahil tanging sila Caleb at Kylie ang mag-iisang dibdib sa araw na yon.

Elena was there, in the bunch of crowd, sa gitnang bahagi ng mga upuan. Adam is beside her, his hands were intertwined with hers the whole time.

No one from Choi and Ferenandez family know na naroroon pala sya except only to Kylie. She invited Elena para ipamukha sa kanya na sila talaga ni Caleb ang meant for each other.

The priest read a portion of bible verse, he lead the couple in exchanging their vows, they slide their wedding rings into each other's fingers and they sealed their vow with a kiss.

Everyone stands up and clap their hands, including Elena and Adam.

After picture taking in the church, nagsilabasan ang lahat and they cheer for the newly wedded couple. May mga nagsihagis ng petals of roses, red and white. Kylie threw her bouquet of flowers at isang matandang babae ang nalasalo noon.

All the guest went to the reception after the ceremony. Noon lang napansin si Elena ng mga Choi, Fernandez at ng mga nakakakilala sa kanya. When she first entered the multi-purpose hall of a rented 5-star hotel, huminto ang lahat at napalingon sila kay Elena at kay Caleb.
They walk with confidence and smile hanggang sa marating nina Elena at Adam ang table ng mag-asawang Caleb at Kylie. Sa magkabilang gilid ng table nila ay naroroon ang mga family of the both sides.

Nilda Choi was the first one to confront Elena. "Why are you here?! Are you gatecrashing into my daughter's wedding day?!" Pabulong lang sinabi iyon but with gritted teeth.

"Mom, stop it. I invited her myself." Napalingon si Nilda as well as the other member of their family nang sabihin ni Kylie na sya pa mismo ang nagpapunta kay Elena na ex-wife ng ngayon ay kanyang asawa. Kylie turn to Elena. "Thank you, Miss Santiago. Thank you for not ignoring my invitation."

Elena know that there is another story behind the smile Kylie is currently flashing.

"It's not a big deal." Ginantihan nya rin ng ngiti si Kylie. Tapos ay hinarap nya ang ex-husband. "Congratulations, Caleb. I'm very happy for you. God bless you and your marriage."

Tiningala ni Elena si Adam, he immediately handed over the paper bag na pinaglalagyan ng regalo nila. The small card attached in the bag stated that the gift came from Elena and Adam.

Elena flashed a bright smile nang iabot nya kay Kylie ang bag. "This is not a glamorous gift but we do hope that this will remind you every morning that you have each other." Isang pares ng couple mug ang nakapaloob doon.

"Oh, thank you! You don't have to give us anything naman. Your presence is enough."

Kylie accept the bag, iniabot nya ito sa ina na sya namang inilagay sa mesa kasama ang sandamakmak na regalong natanggap nila.

"Thank you." Sa unang pagkakataon ay nagsalita si Caleb. That moment she saw the man she used to know, the Caleb she used to love. Walang halong pagpapanggap pero totoong masaya si Elena na masaya si Caleb. But the thought na ipakukulong nya si Kylie made her feel guilty in advance. She know that this will hurt Caleb but wala na syang magagawa pa. No one is above the law. Kylie has to pay for her bad doings. "Thank you for blessing us." Caleb mumbled sincerely.

Ngiti lang ang iginanti ni Elena sa dating asawa.

Elena and Adam said that they're leaving pero pinigilan sila ni Kylie. "Why don't you stay until the party is over?" Kylie saw her mom who make face. Halatang ayaw sa presensya ni Elena. "C'mon. Stay for a little while. Kakaumpisa pa lang ng party."

"What? Should we stay?" Pagkonsulta ni Elena kay Adam.

"I don't know. I think I'm fine with it."

"Okay." Elena nodded her head tapos ay hinarap nya si Kylie. They decided to stay.

Adam and Elena had their own table. Di kalaunan ay sinaluhan sila ni Evangelie and Ernesto. How ironic na mas kasundo pa ni Ernesto si Elena kesa kay Kylie na ngayon ay daughter-in-law na nya.

Hindi naman naging outcast ang dalawa sa party na yon dahil sumalo din sa table nila sina Carlo at Ceddie kasama ang mga asawang babae ng mga ito.

Kylie is glancing at them secretly. If she only knew na malilihis ang attention ng family ni Caleb because of Elena, sana pala ay hinayaan na lang nya na umalis ang mga ito.

Nasira ang mood ni Kylie pero pinipilit nyang nagmukhang masaya.

"Why did you even invite that woman here?!" Nilda Choi hissed nang sandaling pumunta si Caleb sa mga kumpare nya.

"I just wanted to show her everything! The party, the preparation, everything!"

"What for?!"

"Para mamatay sya sa inggit! And... and you know... para maranasan nya yung ginawa nya sa akin when she invited me to her business' grand opening!" Pinangdidilatan ni Kylie ng mata ang ina as they maintain the lowness of their voices.

"Just look at them! Gumawa ka lang ng reason to reunite them in one place! How can you be so stupid? You're unbelievable!" Matapos bungangaan si Kylie, Nilda left her.

She take over the microphone. Nilda invited the newly wed to go to the dance floor for their sweet dance.

Caleb and Kylie ascended to the dance floor. They locked their hands with each other. Dahil sa kambong ng gown ni Kylie, there's a small gap between them.

Nagsayaw silang dalawa at si Garry Choi ang unang nagsabit ng libo-libong pera sa gown ng anak. After three continual songs, the emcee open the dance floor that'll allow other couples to enjoy the music.

Isa-isang isinayaw nina Carlo at Cedie ang mga asawa nila. Just like the other guy in the party, Adam stands up and asked for Elena's hand. Nagpaunlak si Elena kaya sumali din sila sa mga couples na nasa sentro ng hall at nakikipagsayaw.

Nakahawak si Adam sa beywang ni Elena while she hooked her hands on his nape. Their bodies against to each other. Wala ni isang inches na gap.

Adam's chin is leaning on her shoulder habang nasa bandang leeg naman niya naka sandal ang ulo ni Elena. Ganon sila kalapit sa isa't isa.

Hindi nakikita ni Caleb iyon dahil nakatalikod sya sa mga ito. But Kylie can see them.

Looking at Adam and Elena, parang sila pa yung kinasal at hindi silang dalawa ni Caleb. Kylie hate the thought that they're stealing the spotlight na dapat sa kanila nakatutok.
