Chapter 19: Laserblast is Alive???

"Go ahead and refuse to believe it, I was there to see Laserblast "confronting" the mysterious villain who created those orbs alone at a donut shop." said Big Boss.

Vice Boss understood how you felt about what really happened to Laserblast.

You went quiet as you couldn't believe that Laserblast faked his own disappearance. Not to mention, Laserblast was the true culprit for making those orbs to obtain superpowers. You wondered if your father found out about Laserblast's research and experiments to obtain superpowers. What's worse his depowerment experiment took away Dr. Greyman's power!

"So do you know where Laserblast is after what happened back then?" you asked.

"I don't know where is he now but I don't care about Laserblast since he's nothing but a selfish hero back then. Not to mention that POINT decided to kick out a poor junior hero named El-bow for failing a mission to stop a villain who suddenly got away with it."

That was when you realized something. You remembered that Silver Sparks was there, she's Laserblast's girlfriend and also your mentor when you became a junior hero after your graduation at POINT Prep.

You then recalled your last talk with Silver Sparks.

"You're going on an undercover mission!?" you became surprised when you're a junior hero, known as Stealth Mode. You're not even wearing your mask during your off duty as a hero and you wore a spy outfit during your life as a junior member.

"That's right. And... I just hope you're going to be okay, working for Foxtail while I'm gone." Silver Sparks smiled as she placed her hand on the shoulder.

"But..." you, on the other hand, became hesitant. "I don't think I'm ready to be a heroine, just like my parents did. I am a junior hero and..."

"But look at you, you may be a junior hero, but you're a great hero. I mean you look strong and confident when it comes to stealthing, you're Stealth Mode, (Y/n)!" complimented Sparks.

"Ms. Sparks..." you became happy that Sparks complimented you.

"Hey, no need to call me that, (Y/n). I told you to call me Carol, remember?" Carol then realized that she forgot something.

Then she whispered to you and you became surprised to hear it from Carol. Carol, known as Silver Sparks, was going to have a baby! You even assumed if Laserblast is the child's father. Carol nodded, realizing your quick assumption about her child's father.

"Carol... Do you miss him?" you asked.

"Me, miss Laserblast...?" Carol became saddened and said, "Yeah, I guess I miss him. But..."

"But...?"

Carol then told you about her former teammate El-bow, who was expelled from POINT. She shouted at him, asking why he stopped her from rescuing Laserblast. She even blamed him, saying that it was El-bow's fault.

You couldn't believe that Foxtail, the leader of POINT, decided to kick El-bow out of the team all because he failed the mission and Laserblast was gone.

"Carol... what will you do if you see El-bow again despite that you're still working for POINT?" you asked.

Carol hummed to herself and said, "That's a good question. Although let's just say I might give him an element of suprise."

She even gave you a wink. That was when you were told that El-bow, now known as Mr. Gar, owned and managed a place called Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Also, Mr. Gar has a biggest enemy across the street, Lord Boxman of Boxmore.

You finished recalling your conversation with Carol. You couldn't believe that Professor Venomous decided to move to Boxmore since his former home/lair was destroyed. What's worse is that Shadowy Figure is Professor Venomous himself. But the question is why Professor Venomous, of all the villains, didn't know about Shadowy Figure...

You were told that Shadowy Figure was borrowing Professor Venomous's body just to see you on your forced special night with him.

"Ms. (L/n), I hope you're not mad that Laserblast is still alive after all those years." Big Boss noticed your disconcerted look.

"I'm not. I think I know where Laserblast is..."

"Really?"

"Yeah..." you became determined now you got a little scoop about Laserblast's "disappearance". "You said that Laserblast created those powerful orbs that can superpowers, including a superpower that can take away a hero's superpowers..."

Big Boss then nodded, "After Dr. Greyman took three orbs in three different colors, we decided to to take a peek, but we didn't steal it. We found out that Laserblast must have studied bioengineering."

"Bioengineering..." you repeated.

"Me and the boys tried to find Laserblast, but for some reason, we couldn't find him. No evidence, no tracks, nothing." Big Boss explained their search for Laserblast after they found out his experiments on obtaining powers. "And, on this day, the only current scientist who's studied bioengineering just like the fallen hero Laserblast is..."

"Professor Venomous..." you answered.

"Though I don't want to question Professor Venomous if he knows about Laserblast, let's just say I'm glad I met you and I'm relieved that you're safe and sound from Shadowy Figure." Big Boss gave a smile of relief to see you safe and sound.

"No..." you disagreed. "I don't think I'm safe from Shadowy Figure..."

"Why? Don't tell me you're trying to go confront him again all by yourself," questioned Big Boss. "I don't know how did you escape that Shadowy glorb dealer after you fought him, but something tells me that third time won't be a good charm."

"No, I won't fight him. But I can't stay very afraid of Shadowy Figure who tries to steal my heart by force..." you then recalled Shadowy's words about you and your special accessory when you were in Arabian City.

Back then, before you attended the banquet hosted by Lord Apoo...

You glowered at Shadowy Figure, telling him to learn how to give a lady some personal space. Of course, back then, you couldn't forgive Shadowy Figure, a glorb dealer. You were told by Foxtail that she received some glorbs from Shadowy Figure during her life as a leader of POINT.

Before you reluctlantly joined Shadowy Figure on heading to the banquet, you moved your hand to your favorite accessory: a purple choker that contains a purple raindrop.

But Shadowy Figure snatched your choker away from you.

You frowned at him, silently demanding him to return your choker to you. But instead, he said, "Please, allow me."

This is how you noticed something familiar, the way Shadowy Figure placed your choker around your neck. You couldn't help but remembering that when you're with Shadowy. He even confessed those words to you, not to mention Professor Venomous.

"You know I wish I should be the one who gave you that beautiful gem you're wearing. In fact... I am more jealous of Venomous who gave you that gift in the first place."

You gave a disheartened visage after remembering you reluctant time with Shadowy Figure. You couldn't refuse that Shadowy Figure and Professor Venomous are the same person...

"I hate Shadowy and I couldn't help being trapped under a powerful dark love triangle..." you answered.

"A dark love triangle?" replied Big Boss.

Vice Boss began to realize something. Of course, Stealth Mode never has a weakness when it comes to fighting villains. Also, he did noticed you having a nice conversation with Professor Venomous, who became dismayed when he couldn't help but told everyone in Noir 201X that you're his "ex-girlfriend". To think that after the incident, Big Boss and Vice Boss made an appointment with his associate Shadowy Figure only for the dark glorb dealer to sever his contact with the mafia villainous family.

"Ms. (L/n)... How did Shadowy Figure know about your evil secret crush Professor Venomous?" asked Vice Boss.

You stood up from your seat and headed to your bedroom. You then took out a small jewelry box and exited your bedroom. You then sat down on your seat once more.

"I'm afraid you're correct, Vice Boss. He knew about my weakness: having a secret crush on Venny Darling..." You then opened your mini-box revealing your favorite accessory, a gift from Professor Venomous himself.

"So the first very villain Shadowy Figure is actually jealous of is your evil secret crush Professor Venomous? No wonder he's so jealous of any villain who goes goo-goo eyes on you." Big Boss sighed.

"Hey! How could you be so mean, Big Boss Bro?! I'm a victim! He broke my arm!" Vice Boss gave a sobbing look in his eyes.

"Ah, quit your whining. The real victim is Ms. (L/n) herself." Big Boss ignored Vice Boss's complaints.

"Don't worry about me, Big Boss. I will be careful from now on. Not to mention I'll try not to let Shadowy make harm on Professor Venomous." you reassured Big Boss.

Big Boss and Vice Boss decided to end this conversation. They both left you all by yourself in the kitchen. Sonny and Kumori noticed the two. Big Boss and Vice Boss walked past the monkey, the talking yellow cloud, and Fink; the rat girl paused her videos game and watched the two mafia villains leave.

Big Boss turned his head at the three before entering inside his fancy vehicle.

"I hope you three have a good night." he said, then turning his gaze at Sonny. "And you, monkey boy..."

Sonny just stared at Big Boss, though he was a little suspicious about Big Boss since the mafia family head is still a villain.

"I hope you will protect Ms. (L/n) at all costs, otherwise you might get your monkey butt kicked once again by you know who."

Sonny then gave a frown and replied, "Why don't you mind your own business and worry about yourself and your family instead of worrying about me and (Y/n)?"

"I know." agreed Big Boss.

And so, they watched the Noir 201X nightclub fancy limo leave.

"We need to check on (Y/n). I think I'm getting worried about her." Kumori suggested.

"I was thinking the same thing too, Kumori." agreed Sonny.

And so, Sonny and Kumori brought Fink back inside your apartment. Once they're inside, they noticed you're here in the kitchen. Sonny noticed a note on the table along with some empty ramen cups.

Sonny read and it said, "I'm going to bed. Sonny, you're going to sleep on the couch. Have Fink sleep on Kumori tonight."

"Sonny?" called Kumori.

"C'mon, let's just hit the hay." suggested Sonny, having a feeling that you just found out that Big Boss was visited by Shadowy Figure.

Fink stared at your bedroom door that was already closed. Not to mention, you understood Fink's feelings for Professor Venomous. Also, you told Big Boss that you didn't want Fink to see you on your bad side.

You called Fink as Professor Venomous's special minion. Fink sighed and wondered why are you doing this for her sake. Of course, she hates you because you took her boss's attention on you.

The next day, you wondered dabout your former mentor Silver Sparks. Of course, you were told by Foxtail and Greyman that Carol is working at the Plaza. She now owns a karate dojo called Fitness Dojo.

It's been a long time since you had been training with Carol for many times even after you graduated POINT Prep. She even told you that she's having a baby boy.

When you found out that Foxtail and her troops were defeated by a powerful mech Plazamo, you were told that Foxtail helped Carol's son K.O. on stopping Lord Boxman from stealing the glorbs while POINT and the Plaza were too busy fighting each other.

Foxtail also told you that K.O. also worked at Mr. Gar's bodega.

You finishing changing to your usual wear as you got ready to babysit Fink, maybe do some shopping for ice cream. You suddenly heard Sonny shouting, "Whoa! Don't shoot! We're just babysitting!"

"And why are you babysitting Fink?!" shouted the familiar voice.

You became shocked to hear it was your roomate Ed! You were told that she's busy for doing missions this weekend. To think that she just came back this Saturday, then you heard two more familiar voices.

"Whoa, calm down Ed! We're only here to see (Y/n)." Jeanne reassured.

"And do you know this monkey boy and his cloudy girl buddy?" asked Aliya.

"Well..."

You then opened your bedroom to find Ed holding a spy hairdryer that shoots laser and can blow her enemies away with a strong hot wind. Sonny was very nervous as if he was about to get himself destroyed by a hairdryer gun.

"What the heck is going on?" you asked.

"(Y/n)!" the girls shouted in unison to see you coming out from the bedroom.

And then, you ended up being tackled by your friends.

"What are you guys doing here?" you asked. "Ed, I thought you're going to be busy this weekend."

And then you were told by your friends that Elodie decided to give Ed, Jeanne, and Aliya a nice weekend vacation. Also, Ed introduced the Arabian sisters to Sonny D. Wu and his cloudy buddy Kumori. To your surprise, you became shocked to hear that Kumori became so excited to meet Jeanne and Aliya. The genie girl and the thief girl from Arabian City became shocked to wait Sonny

"Wait, you met our brother!?" asked Jeanne.

"Yeah, Ali is like my teammate and cohort."

"Sonny was there in Arabian City with Kumori-chan. Not to mention, they both snagged a lot of glorbs from the ex-Lord Apoo." explained Ed.

"Oh yeah, before Ali decided to rescue a lot of Arabian damesels in distress, he told me and Kumori where to find where to find the glorbs," Sonny mentioned.

Ed then looked at Fink, who's still playing her videos game from her own video game console portable.

"Can we talk about why Fink's here in our apartment?" asked Ed.

"Well... It's a somewhat awkward long story..." you glanced away. "And Fink won't try to do anything evil like destroying our entire apartment."

"Okay, if you say so. I only hope that little green brat didn't try to find that laser lipsticks in my bedroom..." Ed didn't forget the incident at the hotel when you're in Paris for vacation. She was forced to babysit Fink while telling Professor Venomous that you're heading to the Eiffel Tower for the fireworks show and dinner.

Of course, Fink somewhat took a laser lipstick gadget from Ed's backpack.

"Don't worry, Ed. Everything will be okay." you reassured.

Jeanne and Aliya told you that you four decided to have a two-day stay at the O'Charm's mansion. Ed, real name Edna Francoise O'Charm, is the youngest sister of Lucky and Donny O'Charm and also a prodigy skilled in hacking. That's how she and her two older brothers attened POINT Prep and graduated with you, Aliya, and Jeanne the genie.

And then, you all heard Lucky's voice, "Seriously Sonny, do you have to tell the girls about our secret business that relates with international glorb dealers?"

You found Lucky at the door of your apartment, leaning against the doorframe.

"Lucky!?" you exclaimed.

"Wait a minute, you know Sonny and Kumori-chan!?" asked Ed.

"Looks like the cat's out of the bag..." sighed Lucky.

"Wait, what's going on? And what do you mean the cat's out of the bag?"

"Well, I can't tell you right but..." Lucky changed the topic. "I got some somewhat good news."

"Good news?" you became skeptical.

"I got a girlfriend. And..."

Suddenly, Lucky got interrupted by a feminine voice, "You don't have to tell her about myself."

You became shocked as if you recognized that voice.

"That voice!"

That was when you met a black-haired neko girl with miscolored eyes; her right eye is blue while the other is rudy red. She has a golden earring on her left ear. She wore a black sleeveless hoodie with a matching arm warmer on her right and black pants with boots.

According to your mother, you were told that this black neko girl became the head of the Kuroneko family at age 13. You, on the other hand, are the heiress to the Shironeko clan.

"Serena..." you said her name.

Your four friends became shocked. Fink silently recognized that black neko girl. No doubt about it.

"Wait, you know her?!" asked Ed.

"Yeah. She's my cousin..." You stared at Lucky in disbelief, "I can't believe you end up dating my cousin..."

Lucky sweatdropped and sighed in defeat, "Please, have mercy on me."

You secretly began to realize that your father must have put a matchmaking spell on Lucky where the O'Charm hero who has a power of both good and bad luck, becomes Serena's girlfriend. Yue Bai Long always does matchmaking because it is his hobby and his father (your grandfather) taught him the ways of doing matchmaking for the two future wedded couple.

You felt pity for poor Lucky. Of course black cats are sometimes bad luck.

You were glad that you received a nice visit from your friends and a sudden family reunion with your cousin who became Lucky's girlfriend against his will.

And then, Ed told you about a new butler. You became shocked to find out that Disco Prince, a now former disco-loving villain, became the butler working for Lucky and Donny O'Charm. Of course, you and your friends stopped Disco Prince who captured some college students and brainwashed them with a brainwashing disco ball.

You were told that Disco Prince was in jail since Foxtail and her troopers arrested Disco Prince for kidnapping.

You recalled how you found out Professor Venomous became Disco Prince's guest of honor and your tango with him. That was your second encoutner with your evil secret crush.

However, despite remembering that memory of your tango with Professor Venomous, you secretly frowned and wondered about Shadowy Figure.

Did Shadowy find out about you by watching you dancing with Professor Venomous? When was that, also? Perhaps he watched you dance with Professor Venomous at the Villains' Ball?

You still have to find out about Venomous's unawareness of his other dark evil self. That was when you notice something, did Fink know about Shadowy Figure?

You then looked back at Fink who was too busy playing her videos game. Fink may hate you just because you got a crush on Professor Venomous, but that doesn't mean you can't bother her. You have to find a chance to talk with her alone somehow.
