Chapter 7: Venomous and Shadowy?

At Boxmore, Yue explained to Venomous about you. He said that you haven't awaken your powers.

"She still haven't awaken her powers?" asked Venomous, when your father Yue explained about you and your hidden powers within you.

Yue nodded, "Like I said before, I haven't tell her about her powers and her mother. You knew that Yori isn't really a human being when (Y/n) was a child."

Then Venomous suddenly recalled that day, the day he actually first met you as a child.

It happened way before he faked his disappearance related to his forbidden experiments and researches to achieve more superpowers. He and his girlfriend Silver Sparks visited his retired rival of POINT Yue and his significant other Yori Shironeko in Neo Japan during spring. Laserblast introduced Sparks to Yue and Yori, two retired memebers of POINT.

Silver Sparks was Laser's girlfriend and a junior hero member of POINT. She is a blonde-haired woman and a junior hero of POINT and she's Laserblast's girlfriend. She quickly became friends with your mother Yori, who introduced you as a child to her. You wore a shrine maiden and you were shy when meeting Sparks and Laser. Later, you ended up playing a temari ball and humming a song your father taught you.

That was when your father spoke with Laser about you, "You're wondering about my daughter, are you, Laser?"

Then Yue spoke with Laser about you and your hidden powers, "When (Y/n) was born, Yori became worried about our daughter being a half-neko yokai and half-human. You know that yokai are enemies to the humans, right?"

Laserblast nodded.

"I know I didn't tell my daughter about her true lineage and her mother being as a cat yokai. But I know that she will understand the reason she's not really human one day..."

Recalling that memory, he sighed.

"So you're just going to let her find out about her being a half-neko yokai all by herself?" the purple-skinned villain wearing a lab coat implied.

"Yes... However..." Yue then had a feeling an enemy from the shadows has placed a target on you. "Something tells me that someone in the shadows will tell her about that instead."

Yue then left Boxmore, leaving Venomous more confused yet intrigued. What did your father mean by someone lurking in the shadows. Who is after you?

Time had passed since your completed mission on rescuing the slave girls from Apoo in Arabian City, and your reluctant temporary alliance with Shadowy Figure.

You had a strange dream. You then met a girl, same age as you, with white (h/l) hair. On her head she got cat ears.

You and this snow white girl with cat ears were surrounded by cherry blossom trees. For some reason, she looked just like you.

"Who are you?" you asked.

Then she opened her (e/c) eyes at you and said, "How long... will you keep thinking that you're really human?"

You suddenly woke up with a soft gasp. You were lying against your bed of your bedroom. You woke up to notice it was almost noon. This is the first time you had a different dream. You wondered what did the girl with cat ears mean by that. You keep thinking that you're actually a human girl? For some reason she looked a lot like you despite her appearance. She has your eyes and the look on her face was cold and impassive. You wondered why.

Unsure about this dream of meeting a white-haired girl with cat ears, you tried not to worry about that as you got off from your bed.

Although... you began to recall that man wearing black. You knew that you hadn't seen the last of him because he told you that he will meet you again someday.

You sighed as you couldn't help but wondering about this man who called himself Shadowy Figure, a glorb dealer. He knew you for some reason, he knew you having a villainous crush on Professor Venomous.

You headed to the bathroom to wash your face. Once you finished cleansing your features, you then stared at the mirror, only to find this dark familiar hooded villain giving you a dark smirk in your reflection. You froze and gasped loudly right when you saw him trying to grab you from behind. You quickly grabbed a glass nearby on the sink right before you ended up throwing it at the wall. The glass was heard and the door to the bathrom was pushed open by your roommate Ed.

"(Y/n)! Are you okay?! Don't tell me you end up..." Ed paused at her sentence as she noticed you panting as you stared at the bathroom floor. There were shards, pieces of the clear glass cup you just threw at the wall. She slowly finished, "getting yourself hurt."

You couldn't believe that was just hallucination. There's no way Shadowy Figure intruded your apartment and tried to capture you once again just like he did back in Arabian City.

Ed suggested that maybe having a nice walk with fresh air. You both walked on the sidewalk until you noticed Boxmore in sight. You stopped and stared at it. Of course this building is where your villainous crush Professor Venomous resided as of now. But for some reason, you recalled Shadowy's words to you.

"You know I wish I should be the one who gave you that beautiful gem you're wearing. In fact... I am more jealous of Venomous who gave you that gift in the first place."

Now bothered, you couldn't help but wondered if Shadowy is somehow related to Professor Venomous.

"Are you okay?" Ed asked.

"I uh... don't know..." you answered.

Ed sighed and said, "It's already been about a couple of days since we got back from the mission in Arabian City. I'm very worried about you recently. First, you're getting nightmares and now you're getting hallucinations."

You sighed as you realized that Ed was right. After you completed your mission with Ed, Aliyah, and Jeanne, you couldn't stop thinking about you know Shadowy who. Thanks to him, you ended up having the same recurring nightmare, you ending up chained against the unseen wall right before you were confronted by Shadowy. You couldn't break free and you let Shadowy steal your glossy lips. Well, it's a good thing you woke up quick as possible because there's no way you could let him kiss you.

"You're right. I can't believe I gotta say this. I couldn't stop thinking about Shadowy Figure..."

"I can't believe he's the reason that bothers you lately. I guess that's why you threw the glass cup when you thought he ambushed you in the bathroom."

You stared at Boxmore and wondered about Shadowy Figure, "I don't know if I have to say this but..."

"But?"

"His voice... He sounds familiar."

"Eh? Sounds familiar? How?"

"Not only his voice, but his appearance also. When I first met Shadowy... he almost sounded like..." You paused at your sentence, hesitant. You weren't sure if it's okay for you to tell Ed that he sounded just like Professor Venomous. You really wanted to refuse the fact that Professor Venomous got a long lost villainous twin brother Shadowy Figure! Obviously you need proof for that.

You sighed and became determined as if you made up your mind.

"Ed... I think I made my decision. But please try not to freak out."

You told Ed that you decided to find Shadowy Figure and defeat him once and for all. Ed's reaction was... "WHAA--?!" You covered her mouth, muffling her shocking outburst.

"Not so loud, Ed. Not in front of Boxmore." you stared back at Boxmore. You decided to take Ed away from that building so you can speak with her in secret.

You both were at the Plaza sitting on the bench.

"Okay, let me get this straight. You want to find Shadowy Figure and take him down once and for all?" inquired Ed.

"Yeah," you nodded. "I mean you're right for worrying about me. I can't stop having that worst nightmare about him as well. Just now, when I was in the bathroom, I thought saw him trying to kidnap me again! If I want Mr. Shadowy Flirtatious Figure get out of my head, I need to find him and punch him in the face!"

You then gave yourself a deep breath and exhaled after you told Ed about your irritated confession about Shadowy Figure.

"Well, if that's what you're planning to do right now, then count me in."

"Really?" you were surprised that Ed decided to help you find that slender dark hooded figure who dealt with glorbs and sold them to his evil associates.

"Yeah, what do you think?" Ed chuckled. "No way I'm lettin' you go alone and fight Shadowy Figure all by yourself. Also, there's no way in heck I'm letting him make his move on you."

You smiled as you realized that Ed volunteered to help find Shadowy Figure and kick his shadowy butt.

"Thanks, Ed. You make me the most happy BF in the entire world."

"Well duh. What are BFs for?" Ed gave you a smile.

You and Ed gave a BF fist bump.

"So how are we gonna find Shadowy Figure?" she asked.

"Well, it's simple. We have to go see one of his former business associates."

"Let me guess, Big Boss?" Ed implied.

"That's right." you agreed.

Then a fancy 195X Phantom the IV black vehicle pulled up to the side of the road and came to a stop before you two. What a strange coincidence.

"Uh, what just happened?" Ed asked, beginning to have a bad feeling about this.

You didn't answer her question and you had a feeling someone must have heard your conversation with Ed about Shadowy Figure. The window rolled down, revealing two mafia boss villains. One was a short man with a stocky build and the other was a skinny-looking figure. You noticed that Vice Boss had an arm sling on his right. Shadowy was right. He did broke Vice Boss' arm just because the Big Boss' poor little brother was your biggest admirer when you were undercover as Violet.

"What do you want, Big Boss?" you asked.

"Please, Ms. Stealth Mode. I didn't come here for a fight or maybe I didn't come here at this very famous Plaza where POINT took over and turned this place into a glorb processing factory," assured Big Boss that he didn't come here to steal the glorbs from the Plaza.

You noticed Vice Boss' depressed look on his face.

"Ed."

Then you whispered to Ed to buy something from the bodega. Ed nodded and headed inside. About less than a minute, the orange-haired four eyes brought some nachos with blue cheese.

Big Boss looked down at the nachos and stared at you, "Didn't I tell you that I'm allegric to blue cheese?"

"I know, but I can't stand seeing your little brother being so miserable. Let's just say this is a get well gift from moi."

Then Vice Boss then stared at you with tears welling up in his eyes. He ended up giving a big loud cry of joy.

"Oh, Ms. Stealth Mode!!! You made me the happiest man in the entire world!!!" he sobbed.

Then the bystanders around you heard Vice Boss crying out loud and stared at you and the others.

"So much for making a scene..." Ed grimaced.

Big Boss sighed in dismay and said, "Ladies, get in. We can talk at my night club."

You and Ed entered inside the car and you were taken to the rebuilt nightclub, Noir 201X. The place where you were on a top secret undercover mission. Little did you know, a blonde-haired boy with a monkey tail watched the car you were riding drove away from the Plaza and used his telepathy to speak with someone. He was sitting on his yellow cloud named Kumori.

"Master. They're heading to Noir 201X. Should I follow them?"

Somewhere in the forest, Yue Bai Long was mediating and communicate with the monkey-tailed boy.

"Please do, Sonny. Make sure nothing happens to my daughter while keeping an eye on her."

"Got it." Sonny spoke to his pet cloud, "C'mon, Kumori. Follow that fancy-looking car."

"Aye, sir!" said Kumori as she gave him a wink.

Sonny and Kumori followed the 195X vehicle to Noir 201X nightclub owned by Big Boss.
