Chapter 27- Police

Ace decided to wait outside on the bike as I walked into the studio where I saw Mario laying down rolling over with Mika while talking in a high pitched voice.
"May I join?" I teased as he looked up and laughed, standing up and taking Mika into his arms.
"Hello my dear, I'm excited to say that from next week, you can start coming in with Mika to train her as well." I smiled and nodded as I kissed Mario's cheek and took the tired husky from his arms into mine.
"Say hi to Jospeh for me," he called and I looked back at him with a widened smile.
"Of course," I teased as he closed the door behind me.

(I honestly have no idea if training goes like that. I've never owned a pet so I'm clueless. 🤷‍♀️)

As I walked out, I saw Ace setting up the carriage.
"Hey sweets," I greeted as Mika started howling and wagging her tail at the sight of Ace.
"Calm down girl," he chuckled as he took Mika into his arms and kissed her a couple times before placing her in the carriage, she got comfortable and snuggled closer to herself and dozed off. I put the helmet on and we got on the bike as Ace drove off back home.

When we reached the front garden, I saw some guy wearing cameo shirts and a plain white vest with a cameo hat cleaning the pool. I took off Ace's helmet and he picked up Mika and took out my bag before putting the bike inside the garage.

"Ah hello there miss Brianna, my name is Sebastian. I work for your father in cleaning the garden and pools," he greeted as he bowed down a little. I gave Ace a soft gaze to go inside and put Mika to sleep and he nodded before kissing my cheek and walking inside.

"It's nice to meet you Sebastian. But why are you cleaning the pool now?" I slightly titled my head to the right.
"I've never seen you around before," I sent a polite smile so I don't come across as rude.
"Since you've been here, I've been spending most of my time fixing the garden and some of the woods that are connected, I've also been at Madam Judith's Greenhouse taking care of the plants," I chuckled as he took out a few leaves from the pool.
"You must really love plants," I stayed as he nodded his head with a childish excitement glinting in his eyes.
"Oh yes I find them absolutely fascinating, with how they function and grow and all sorts." He was more skippy when talking bout plants that I couldn't help but smile at it.
"The littlest things seem to make him happy." I thought.
"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you Sebastian, but I must be going. Hope to see you around," I waved at him as I walked up the stairs to the front door just enough to hear his goodbyes as well.

As I walked in, I was met with an empty room. I sighed and closed the door before leaning on it.
"Alone," I whispered as I gazed down sadly at my shoes before taking them off and picking them up as I trailed upstairs. I looked in all the rooms but didn't see Jeffrey, granny, pops or Lily. Finally, I got to my room where I saw Mika sleeping on the bed and the bathroom door was opened.

I walked into the closet and grabbed a pair of fresh clothes since it was almost 6pm, needing the urge to take a bath after the encounter with those two people. I shuddered at the thought but took out my phone to see Mia texting me about hanging out soon and I replied with a promised 'ok' before I turned it off and walked into the bathroom where I saw steam coming out the door where the jacuzzi was. I hummed in curiosity and peeked inside to see Ace filling a hot bath with bubbles and a few petals.
"What are you doing sweets?" I asked as he checked the temperature.
"Making a jacuzzi, after the encounter we had, I thought it'd be nice to relax in a nice hot bubble bath. Of course with swimming suits to make you more comfortable," I couldn't help the soft smile as I put my pjs on a stool and walked in to sit on his lap and kiss him on the lips.
"You're honestly amazing sweets," I gave him a soft smile as he rubbed his thumb on my waist.
"I know. Come on, get a swim suit on so we can get in." I nodded enthusiastically and skipped away back into the closet where I opted for a classic one-piece black swimsuit.
