Xavier's point of view

I went inside one of my office rooms before turning to the 2 men.
"So, What is so important?" I hissed out at Luke, the ice blonde.
"We're really sorry to interrupt boss, but we just got a message from one of the members at base 12 that they received a letter and it was from the Snake Gang," Joseph, the brunette, explained.
"WHAT?!" I roared out as I pushed the table over causing a loud ruckus. Oh god, I hope mum is keeping Brianna busy enough so she won't hear, I can't tell her yet that I'm the leader of the most feared Mafia in the world. Luke pulled out a slightly crumpled up paper from his pocket and gave it to me.

Dear Mr Mafia Leader

I'd like to give a proper greeting this time since the last one was..uneventful. But dare I say it was fun. You see, it's already been 15 years since we've seen each other and in those last years, I have been growing a bigger gang and I will take back what I took from you all those years ago, your daughter. Tick tock Mr Mafia, I will be coming for you, and this time, I promise you won't be expecting it.

Yours truly,
The Snakes.

I let out a deafening growl as I crumbled up the shitty piece of paper. How DARE they threaten to take away my daughter again. I will murder every last one of them if they dare to even think about taking her away from me again.
"What are we going to do now boss?" Luke asked in anger for the concern of Brianna's wellbeing from the threat.
"Tomorrow I'll have Taylor be assigned for driving Brianna to and from school. Luke and Joseph, as you two are my best snipers, you are both going to follow her to school and back. Don't let yourself be seen. Also, tomorrow I'm taking Brianna shopping, I need at least 5 bodyguards with me, and 5 more around my personal mall. If you even see anyone suspicious, you tag them with the tracker right away. Do. You. Understand?" I asked but not leaving any room for negotiation. Sensing my angry mood, they both nodded right away with a "yes boss."
"Good. Joseph, alert Taylor that he needs to get all of Brianna's school work that she will miss today," I ordered.
"Yes boss," they both sauntered out of the office. I fell back onto my chair in distress.
"What am I gonna do now. I just got her back and I'm not letting her go again," I thought in anger as I ran my hand on the sides of my face in frustration.

After 5 minutes of thinking, I stood up and walked out the office knowing someone will clean up quickly and went to my private office to deal with a few paperwork and also find a way to deal with these Snakes.

Once I got into my private office, I saw a pile of paperwork that having been stacking up since yesterday. I sighed and decided to get to work. Most of the papers were deals and contracts with other Mafias' around the world. Some needing protection, others wanting to grow their illegal business and a few wanting shipments of drugs and sniper guns for an oncoming battle and paying about 20 million for each item. And even a few asking for my contribution to human trafficking which I burnt to a crisp knowing I have not been in that circle since Brianna was born and don't plan on returning. Once I finished that pile, I turned over to my legal business and signed a few more contracts with other businesses to expand my company towards America and Italy. I made up the business a few years back to hide my illegal one so people won't get suspicious, and dare I say it's working like a dream. Instead of making billions from my Mafia work, I'm getting trillions from my business added on.

By the time I finished it was already 8:37 pm. Shit, did Brianna have dinner already. I rushed downstairs to see her eating Chicken Alfredo with a glass of water. She was looking into space while staring at the table while holding her stomach not yet realising that I entered the room. The kitchen was empty and mum was not here.
"Hey what are you doing here alone? Where's my mum?" I asked her and she jumped in shock before giving me a forced smile.
"Oh she said she had to get groceries and she would be back soon. I fell asleep a while ago and just woke up so she gave me some food she made today. Told me to let you know there was another plate for you, don't worry it's still hot," she replied before looking back at the table. I frowned at her behaviour, she was fine a few hours ago.
"Hey what's wrong? Did something happen while I was away?" I asked her, concerned from her sudden shift in mood. She started shaking her head.
"No nothing happened, just a bad dream." She informed and by the tone of her voice I knew she didn't want to talk about it. I sighed and decided to grab my plate of food as well as a cup of coffee before sitting opposite her and started digging in.

After what felt like hours, I heard her talking again.
"You know, this is the first time I've ever eaten something like this," I looked up in shock.
"What do you mean? What did you eat before?" I asked in anger. I swear if her 'family' were starving her, I'll kill them both.
"Back with my foster 'parents'" she rolled her eyes at the name, "they would always make different types of chicken or beef and spaghetti, sometime they would cook fish but.. Never would they make something different like this. Your mum's a great chef." She explained. I nodded softly not knowing what else do say as she dug into her food once more.

5 minutes later she was done and started to wash the dishes.
"Leave them, the maids will do it," I ordered softly but she ignored me and continued to dry them and put them away.
"It's ok, I don't mind, I was taught to clean after myself." She grimaced as she finished putting her cup away and returned back to her seat. I sighed in defeat and put down my fork.
"Ok seriously, what's wrong? I can't help cheer you up if I don't know what happened?" I saw her hesitate a bit before answering.
"Um, it may be nothing but, I had a dream of when I was a baby and someone came into my room and put a cloth on my mouth and then everything went black. When I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room before I suddenly woke up in sweat and I couldn't feel my body. Almost as if my soul had left it. But it's ok, I'm fine now but I guess I'm still a bit shaken up," she explains. I just sat there shocked, that's not a dream she had, it must be a flashback. I couldn't tell her that though, I don't want to traumatise her even more. I thought for a second before standing up.
"Come on I have something to show you," I exclaimed. She stood up in confusion and followed me as I walked towards the library.

Once we reached the library door that had a big apple tree on it. Mum wanted to have something that relates back to Adam and Eve and how we can use their mistakes so we can make it right and move forward. I just think she thought it was pretty and wanted a big excuse to have it. The woman is obsessed with apples. I don't know why. It honestly looks ridiculous when it comes with a house that's very modern and light and you just see this. I opened the door and she gasped at the interior.
