This is actually one of the longest chapter I have ever typed 😂😂

Brianna's point of view

Halfway through walking up the stairs, I started to get really cold and my body started shivering. I hugged myself in hopes to warm myself.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I hear Xavier asked beside me.
"I don't know, I just started shivering and I'm really cold now." I answered as I felt my teeth chatter, this is so weird, I wasn't cold a few seconds ago and the temperature is not even cold today.
"It's the adrenaline," he explained and I looked up at him in confusion, he opened his mouth but no words came out, he then closed it with a sigh and placed his hands on my shoulder. He tightened his grip a little and stood me still even with my shaking.

"Have you ever hurt or tortured someone?" He asked seriously. I snorted.
"All my life I've seen people get tortured and murdered in front of my eyes. I've been tortured for so many years. After a while, you kinda get used to it. My body became numb, I couldn't feel anything. After a while, I started to become intrigued with the torture I saw. They always explained how the people being killed deserved it and I guess I stuck with it. There were a few people I've punched, and kicked a few times, but never as severe as with Rachel." I started. Xavier's eyes went wide with shock but he didn't look as disturbed as I thought he would.

"Why did you become intrigued with hurting people who deserve it?" I tilted my head to the side a little.
"What's the reason for a police force to exist if there are still so many criminals out there and they blame innocent people sometimes. People who hurt others just for fun, domestic abuse, rape. And yet... not that much has happened to deal with it. People say God will punish the evil, but how long will that take and how many others will the sick, twisted criminals hurt before they get karma?" I asked rhetorically. For years I have been abused, and for years my anger has been growing. I'll punish those who deserve it.

"Can't really judge them can I?" I scoffed at myself.
"I'm just as sick and twisted as all of them. Loving the pain and fear that courses through them as I torture them. Letting out my anger on others. It's satisfying honestly. Seeing the blood seep out as the colour drains from their eyes," I muttered softly as I stared directly into Xavier's eyes, not once breaking contact.

We stood there for a few seconds with his grip tightening a little on my shoulders before he pulls me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered and he bent his head down to reach my shoulder. I turned my head to see the side of his face.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. He looked up a little to meet my eyes.
"I'm so sorry it took me so long to find you. For letting them take you. For all the pain you endured." I smiled and kissed his cheek before snuggling my head into his neck.
"You don't have to be sorry, it was never your fault. I don't hate you, you've never hidden something from me so why should I be angry with you." His body went rigid and my brows furrowed.
"It was never in your control Xav, never apologise for the actions of someone else." I pulled away and looked at him in the eyes.
"Ok?" I confirmed and he nodded with a smile and hugged me once more.

We pulled away and I looked at his shirt.
"Sh*t I got blood all over you," I exclaimed and he just chuckled.
"Don't worry fiore (flower) I have spare clothes in my room." He explained and started to guide me once more.
"Hey Xav." I called out and he turned to me.
"Why do you have a warehouse with blood everywhere and cells to torture people?" I questioned.
"When you have a big and successful business, you get a lot of competitors. Few years back, the competition got out of hand and my business almost fell apart. I got really angry so I got this place. But there was blood when I first got her so I left it. Gives the place a Halloween, haunted warehouse vibe to it," he had a cheeky smile and I just laughed. I felt like there was something he wasn't telling me but I just left it alone.
"Come on, you need another shower and some clean clothes," he gently ok my hand and guided me to another floor and into a decent looking room.
"The shower's in that room," he pointed to the right.
"I'll get you some clothes." I nodded and he kiss my head before leaving. I sighed and walked in the room while taking my clothes off and tying my hair up since I just washed it and it wasn't dirty. I also noticed how my shivering hasn't stopped.
