Brianna's point of view

"You wouldn't want to see your dear old friend die, would you Brianna?" his voice mocked.
"Please, please I am begging you. Leave her alone. Take me instead." Their cackles were overwhelming. I stared deep into her eyes. The once deep pools of chocolate were now black, surrounded by blood red as tears were streaming down her face. She whimpered.
"That's too bad." He clicked his tongue and slapped me hard as he grabbed my hair forcing me to look forward.
"That's what you get for trying to run away. You thought that a police raiding our place would stop us? Nothing!" He punched me in the gut as I spluttered out blood.
"Will stop me from getting you again! Now watch as she dies because of your selfishness." The sharp knife was getting closer to her. Closer to her legs. I tried to get free from the restraints.
"No! No! Please NO!" I screamed as I watched the knife get plunged deep within her privates and came out through her stomach. Her screams filled my head along with their laughter.
"NO PLEASE!"

I screamed as I shot up. While breathing heavily, I looked around desperately. Room. Alone. Safe. I gulped and tried to control my breathing. Ace's hoodie glued to my skin with my sweat. I tried to take it off as quickly as I could with my shaky hands to make sure nothing happened to my stomach. I growled and stood up flinging it off, and was left in a vest, as I looked at the clock.

2:58am

I quickly took my meds and walked towards the balcony when I was sure my stomach was safe. I flung the doors open and sighed as I felt the cold air hit my face. My sweat was already starting to dry off. I leaned on the railing and stared out into the forest. I let out a pitiful laugh. Must be nice to have so much freedom. To escape.

I couldn't hold back another sob as I covered my face. I cried into the silent night, hoping for some peace in my life. The silent stars watched over me, mocking me. They're free, away from danger while I'm here, stuck within my own torture.

"Bri?" I jumped a little as I heard Ace. I quickly tried to dry my tears as he came closer. I turned to him with a smile.
"Hey, sorry for waking you. Go back to bed, I just need a moment." I felt a lump in my throat and tried to push it back. He shook his head and stood next to me. He held out his hand hesitantly, asking me permission to let him touch me. I sobbed and flung myself on his chest. I wrapped my arms tight around his torso as I screamed out my anger.
"She's dead! I couldn't save her! It's all my fault!" I continued screaming as he smoothed down my hair. He kissed my head, not once losing motion.
"Let it out baby. Let it out. It's alright."

After what seemed like an eternity, my cries ceased to a stop. I sniffled a little and pulled away slightly to look up a Ace. He had a few streaks of dried tears on his cheeks as he cupped my cheek and dried mine. He let out a broken sigh and leaned his forehead on mine. I closed my eyes as I leaned in further.

"We were only 7." I started as he opened his eyes and looked at me as I started.
"I was taken away from my sanity when I was only 1. For 3 years I was tortured. Beaten, cut and even burnt everyday." I let go and walked back to the railings, looking up at the sky.

"When I turned 4. There was a banging on the door. People were yelling police outside. They all ran," I scoffed as I remembered that day.
"They called me their prized possession and yet forgot to take me and... another girl. We were friends. Her name was Alex." I couldn't help the smile escaping as I remembered her face. Her big doe chocolate eyes and long blonde hair.
"We found comfort in each other. Taught each other everything. But, that was all gone. People in suits came rushing in. They tried looking for any of the men but they all escaped. When they found us, they took us to the hospital." I looked at him as he stood a couple feet away looking at me with an emotion I couldn't describe.
