Ezra's POV
[He's not doing anything to you, is he?] Sabi sakin ni Alegre habang nanliliit ang mga mata.
"Yes, Alegre. He's not."
[Kailangan ko ng pruweba kung ganoon.]
"You can already see me right now through FaceTime, nag switch pa tayo ng Messenger, Skype, Zoom, at kahit sa GMeet. All because you didn't trust the pictures of myself I took for you!"
[Kasi mahirap ng magtiwala, noh!] He argued, [atras ka nga nang makita ko yung katawan mo.]
I just sighed and did what he wants. There's no winning Alegre when he's being protective like this.
[Hmm, okay okay..] aniya habang malapit ang mukha sa screen, talagang tinitingnan niya nang mabuti ang kabuuan ko even if virtually! Damn this moron!
"Oh, ano? Tapos na? Sabing okay lang ako, Alegre."
[Wait, 'wag ka muna gumalaw, 'di pa 'ko kuntento!]
"What, do you want me to strip into my underwear for you too?" I sarcastically said.
Tumahimik kaagad si Alegre.
Oh, what a big mistake to say.
Ugh. I rolled my eyes. "Shut up. Tingin mo gagawin ko? I'm fine, Alegre!"
[I'm afraid I'm gonna need solid proof—]
"Fuck you!"
Marahas nalang siyang nagkamot ng ulo, frustrated na frustrated ang kupal dahil hindi ako nakita sa underwear ko. Like I've never swam with him and our other friends.
I heard him sigh, [but seriously, Ez, he's not hurting you in any way? Baka naman hindi ka niya sinasaktan nang pisikalan pero sa ibang paraan pala? Sugurin ko talaga kayo riyan!]
Naupo na ako muli sa kama ko, "no, he's really not." I said in all honesty, sumeryoso siya roon. "He's really a good guy."
[Hmm, alam ko ugali ng mga Roméo, may sayad 'yan sa utak nasisiguro ko.]
"Well, he's at least nice as a husband," I said.
[Mabait din sa simula 'yang pinsan ko sayo.]
"But it's been almost two years now, wala parin siyang ginagawa sakin. In fact, he's really loose with me, I can practically do whatever the hell I want here and he won't stop me."
He just shot me a brow.
I continued, "he prioritizes work more than me. Maybe he's like that just because he doesn't want this fixed marriage to fail for his family's benefit."
[Anong klase 'yon? Sapakin ko 'yan. Baka naman nagkukulang siya riyan? He should give his time with you! That's his duty as your fucking husband!]
"No, he's just—" I stopped and sighed to calm down, "we're really chill, that's it."
[Hmm.] Suplado niyang tugon, [well, nagrereport din naman si Bri sakin kaya.. sige, maniniwala ako.] I grinned at that. [Pero oras na may marinig ako, Ezra, lilipad talaga ako riyan!]
"Well, you don't need to anyway, uuwi narin kami riyan.."
[Ay, oo nga noh!] Now he's back in his usual bubbly personality, [kelan uli uwi niyo?]
"Maybe in three to five months? We're just waiting for the Esplana family's go signal."
[Pasalubong ko, ah!]
