Owain's Gnome

by sloanranger

The time has come,  now I fear -

Gnome must wed this New Year.

He has no right to Debbie's hand,

he's married me and Lou Ann.

But we shall put away that sadness,

Lou Ann and me, we"ll hide our tears -

liquored up, with Dutch gladness,

pretend to Deb, we're full of cheer.

I confess, I won't delay - I blame naivete;

I loved that Gnome - got carried away.

It took all my strength, I must say -

to keep his mighty pole at bay!

And It took some time to track Gnome down,

the little beggar, scoped the town.

Lied to all us Wattpad girls,

gave us all a merry twirl.

It seems Gnome's back in Owain's yard,

making faces at the cat;

Lou Ann & me will stand guard,

while Owain sees where all are at.

This blushing, fishing rod adherent,

would go again, were things different.

I am still much on Gnomey's side,

but it's Debbie's turn to take Gnome's ride : )
