Tell All

by sloanranger

"There's odd," he said, one day - looking straight at me.

"Why," I had to say, "Whatever do you mean?"

"I meant, I never noticed, your eyes are rather blue."

"Oh, that's because they're contacts," I said right back at you.

"Ah, what about your hair so blonde, is the color true?"

"Sadly no," I did respond – "peroxide,  every week or two."

He cleared his throat and said: "ah-em, I guess that that's all right;

I put some lifts in both my shoes, it gives a bit of heighth."

He stood a moment, eyes downcast, looking at the floor,

"I should tell you of my past, just this one thing more."

"Well," I smiled, "We've both got,  the odd bits from our life...."

"Yes, I know - but I've just heard... from my missing wife!"
