Leprechaun Elven Fairy Dust

by sloanranger

I was walking in Wal*Mart the other day

heading for the pet department,

when all of a sudden my eyes espied

something that made my heart jump.

There to the left in the make-up aisle

were bottles of every color.

I thought I'd stop to look for a while,

normally, I wouldn't bother.

Arranged in a row, upon the shelf

winking and twinkling at me,

I looked and thought: 'Not for myself -

a gift to my girls, they'd be.'

There was one that was ever so lovely,

sparkly, glowing and green;

I said to myself rather dumbly,

'You're the prettiest I've ever seen.'

I thought, 'It's really not my style,'

'too loud - but oh, I love it.'

The more I looked, the more I smiled,

and my heart began to covet.

I stood there stunned by what I saw -

have it, I knew I must.

Disguised, but I knew just what it was -

Leprechaun Elven Fairy Dust.

I may not have to tell you,

you probably have guessed,

I got that night, all I could,

and went back for the rest.

Now, I still I adore my classics,

pale pink, coral and rose;

I may soon return to basics,

but tonight, I'll have twinkly toes.
