I like to play with words, I like to sort them out,
line them up in different ways,
see what they're about.
What exactly do they mean, are they the same right, now,
as when they first came on the scene -
or are they not, somehow?
I love to find out where they came from, how they came to be,
what trails they took, do they look
the same - or differently?
What long roads did they traverse, to where they are today?
Is their meaning the reverse,
or is it just the same?
A word is such a lovely thing, can make us laugh or love;
more powerful than anything,
sent from up above.
So careful how you use them, be not such a fool,
must I explain? Use not for pain...
these holiest of tools.
