♡ Part 53: worried for him ♡

3 DAYS LATER (December 30th)

TO NARUTO 7am

naruto: m-move over shikamaru

shikamaru grunted in his sleep as naruto kept kicking him to move over. neither of them wanted to sleep on the floor and so they decided to share the bed. even though it was a queen sized bed, naruto moved around in his sleep so often and shikamaru barely stayed on his side of the bed. 

naruto slowly sat up as he sighed. he felt the slightest bit of pain in his ankle but he didn't pay much attention to it. he took the crutches that his dad forced him to use and went to the washroom. everyone was still asleep although at this point he couldn't go back to sleep. he did his morning routine and headed downstairs to the living room although he heard noises coming from the kitchen. he gulped as he didn't know what it was. he slowly approached the kitchen and once he opened the door he quickly got scared by someones yell

sakura: ah

naruto: a-woah

he lost balance and was about to fall but sakura quickly helped him

sakura: what are you doing so early in the morning

naruto: i was gonna ask you the same sakura-chan

he finally regained his balance and a small smile appeared onto his lips once he noticed what sakura was making. his eyes beamed with delight

naruto: it smells great y'know. can i have some

sakura: fine but just sit here

naruto smiled widely and took a seat at the counter as he patiently waited for sakura to finish. she was currently making some ramen and naruto couldn't help but ask for some. 

sakura: why did you wake up 

she smiled as she took a quick glance at the sleepy naruto

naruto: shikamaru moves around too much y'know

sakura chuckled

sakura: you're one to talk. you literally move like fish when you're sleeping

naruto frowned as sakura laughed harder. she knew that it was most likely narutos fault on why he couldn't sleep

naruto: well why are you awake then

he crossed his arms and then sakura looked down

sakura: sasuke woke me up because he called me. 

naruto smiled and looked down as well

naruto: why can't that weasel just call at a normal time. 

sakura: hm? oh um i don't know

she smiled inwardly and continued to cook. she finally finished and sat beside naruto and gave him his share of the noodles

naruto: thanks sakura

he quickly started eating and sakura smiled at the happy naruto. even with an injury he was as happy as a flower. 

sakura: you're still not going anywhere

naruto: but...why.

he spoke with food in his mouth as she glared at him

sakura: you're mom wants you to heal as quick as possible. so that means you have to stay away from those things

naruto: it seems like you are acting like a negative nancy y'know..

sakura: i'm saying it cause i care!
