♡ Part 45: if my world was crumbling ♡

they started their practice and all naruto could think about was what sakura told him. from the things that she told him, it seemed to appear that hinata eaves dropped onto their conversation. it made him feel weird but..... he was glad that hinata didn't tell her about their feelings for sakura. shikamaru would've killed him if sakura found out

after practice, sasuke and sakura decided to go over to her house. they invited shikamaru and naruto but they said no. well, naruto declined for the both of them because he had to talk to shikamaru

they headed to ichirakus ramen and ate together as naruto explained what happened

shikamaru: sakura doesn't know then

naruto: but hinata does

shikamaru sighed and ate a bit more of his ramen

shikamaru: she won't say anything, i know it

naruto: okay but what if it spills out. then what? shikamaru, she is trustworthy but everyone slips up here and there y'know

shikamaru: it's a drag but just deal with it

shikamaru seemed rather calm because he knew that even if she found out, nothing bad would happen. sasuke already knows that naruto likes her and even if he found out that shikamaru liked her, it wouldn't change anything. really.

naruto dropped his head on the table which caused a loud bang. shikamaru chuckled 

shikamaru: you know naruto, this doesn't really seem like you

naruto sat back up and looked into shikamarus eyes. 

'this isn't..... me?'

naruto: i'm going home. it's almost past my curfew

they got up and took their leave

TO SAKURA

sakura: give it back!

sasuke smirked as he teased his girlfriend that was shorter than him. he held kakashi's icha icha novel up in the air as she tried reaching it. kakashi was sleeping and so he didn't know what sasuke was doing. if he knew, he would've smacked sasuke into next tuesday. 

sasuke: pinky can't reach can she

she finally decided to get it in a more physical way. she took her stand and punched him in the gut, causing him to hiss in pain as he lowered his hand and she finally got back kakashis book. 

he fell down as he clutched onto his stomach to fool her. sakura noticed and so she kneeled down to him and couldn't help but chuckle

sasuke: i didn't even ask you.... who taught you how t-to--

sakura: lady tsunade of course

sasuke made his lips an 'o' shape as now it made sense. that lady was like a monster

sakura: can you get up or not

sasuke got up and hugged her. he smiled as he held onto the pinkette

sasuke: can you sing me that song...

he asked as he still stood there with his arms wrapped around the pinkette. she smiled 

sakura: not now. i only ever sing that song when i'm upset, and the last thing that i am right now is upset y'know

sasuke smiled and let go

sasuke: what are we going to do about that dobe

sakura looked down

sakura: right...

sasuke: ....

as much as he hated to admit it, he cared for naruto just as much as he cared for itachi. to put it simply, something equivalent would be chojis love for beef. it's a pretty accurate example
