Shawnie's POV

After Chris left my house, I got showered and dressed for the day

After Chris left my house, I got showered and dressed for the day. I haven't checked my phone but I know it was going off like crazy. I have to get in touch with Aubrey because I have to officially break things off with him. There's not really much going on between us anyway, but I know he's heard a lot of things between last night and this morning, and I just think that it's best that it comes from me, so there's no misunderstandings about anything.

I picked up my phone and I saw the notifications were crazy. Of course they're about Chris and I. I have a few missed calls and text, from friends and family. My dad being one of them, and Aubrey being another. I figured I'll call my dad later, because I need to get this Aubrey situation taken care of right away. I also need to see if he knows anything about this song they're supposed to be doing together.

I send him a text without looking at the other texts he's already sent me. I know he's talking crazy in them, and personally, I don't even care what he has to say.

Me: Hey we need to talk. Can you come over?

I put my phone down and wait for him to respond. I know he's pissed and has a lot to say. I don't really care about that part, I just don't know what his reaction is going to be. I'm sure he's upset about everything.

My phone dings in my hand and I look at the text.

Aubrey: So y'all back together?

Me: Can you just come over so we can talk please.

I didn't get a response back. I'm assuming he's coming. I go into my room and I get his things together. I thought it wasn't much, but it is. Clothes, a few pieces of jewelry, and a few pairs of shoes. He wasn't living here but it sure seems like it. I never noticed he had this many items over here. Well I'm happy to get them out of here. I fold his clothes up nicely, and put them in a chair in my living room.

After I'm done, I sit in my living room and wait for him. He only lives 20 minutes away, so it shouldn't take that long for him to get here. In the time I was waiting, I looked at what everyone was saying. Some people were happy we were back together, some not so much, some wanted to know how Aubrey felt about this, but the majority of Chris's fans were happy to see us back together. They were probably just happy because he was happy, which I can understand. Technically, we aren't back together, but this is going to take on a life of its own and there's no reason to try to fight it.

30 minutes went by and I saw him pulling up in his black Mercedes AMG. I opened the door and waited for him to get out of his car and come in. I was a little nervous. I didn't want to have this conversation but I know I need to. It's better I do it than Chris. All of this drama has to come to an end, and Aubrey is the link to it all. This has to end now.

He took his time before he got out of his car and walked up to my door and just stood there. His face read all kinds of irritation, he wouldn't even look at me in the eyes.
