Coming together as one.

Andre's POV

I walked into the packhouse and headed to my father's office after my mother too Kat away. I mean she didn't have to hit me. I smiled out how my Luna laughed when I feigned being hurt.

She was so much fun to be around, even when she was mad. I walked into my father's office and there he sat in the lounging area of his office.

He had three black suit garment bags hung on a rack. He looked up at me and said "Son, somethings in life are just meant to happen. And you know what I always say-"

"Everything happens for a reason," we said in unison. He nodded his head then began to speak once more.

"I know when you were at your alpha training they thought you a bit about the binding ceremony. Am I right?" I nodded. "Well I guess I don't have to tell you much then. If you have any questions feel free to ask son."

I took a few moments to think about what I wanted to know. I then opened my mouth but no words came out.

I then tried again "How long is this going to take?"

"Roughly 30 minutes or less. It all depends on the gifts you have for one another. Anything else?" I shook my head no, not knowing what else to ask.

"Have you decided on what you're getting your mate?"

"Yes, I have," I said enthusiastically. "I want to give her a ring. I noticed since she's been away from us, she's been living through the human's customs. She hasn't really been instructed of the thing from our world, so I'm going to ask her to marry me."

My father fought me by surprise as he hugged me. It was tight yet gentle "I'm glad that you've become such a considerate and kind-hearted young man. I know you will treat her right. if you don't you will suffer the consequences."

He chuckled and hugged me again. This time I hugged him back. "I also wanted to do something else for her," I said, causing him to let me go and look me in my face.

"Something like what?" I didn't want to say my idea out loud so I mind linked him. His brows rose high on his forehead before saying "Are you sure son? That is permanent and can be deadly."

"I'm sure as I'll ever be father."

He gazed at me long and hard then said "Alright, I'll go make a few calls." With that he stepped into his bathroom. I then sat on the chair across from the rack wit hangers and stared blankly at them.

I thought about my vows to Katalina and wondered what all I should say. I had so many things I wanted to say to her, so many emotions I wanted her to feel.

My dad then stepped back into the room and sat across from me. "It's done, Steph is going to have it done by tonight. Anything else you need me to get you? Like the ring?"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot," I handed him the broken ring band that I had gotten from my mother earlier this morning. "I would like for the blacksmith to have these stones fused together," I said while writing down the name of the stones, "Then have Steph bring it for me at the ceremony."

he nodded and got up and took the paper as well. he headed for the door and yelled for one of the omegas. I assumed he gave them to take it to the blacksmith. "Let's have some idle chit chat shall we?" I nodded and smiled. My father and I haven't talked in a while.

After a while of talking about all my experiences at training as well as the things I missed that happened here, my father's eyes glazed over. He must've been talking to either my mother or Steph.

"Okay, time to choose," he said as he walked over to the garment bags. He zipped down the first one and pulled out a white dress shirt.

"Sure I'll wear that no problem." I wasn't picky about what to wear so it didn't matter which one I picked. He just nodded and placed the shirt back on the rack. He then opened the other garment bag and took out a green dress shirt.

"Damn, that reminds me of my Luna, I'll go with that one instead. No questions asked." He nodded again and placed the shirt on the rack once more next to the white one.

He opened the other bag and I scowled at him for continuing to show me something else when I already picked a shirt. "Dad I already picked the green one." he pulled out the light pink dress shirt despite my protests and nodded his head again.

"Wow the pink does look good though," with that his eyes glazed again.

"Which shirt do you want, pick, I have to go get something your mother sent."

"I'll go with the pink," I said, hoping he would leave already with his bad attitude.

"The green one it is." He then took the other shirts and walked out of the room.

"I said the pink one dad!" I yelled at his retreating form. I then chuckled. What were my parents planning?

My father then returned and yelled in the room "Follow me!" I did as told and followed. We ended up in my room. "Go soak I the tub you stink." I sniffed my self.

"I don't stink," I said back in protest.

"Your mother thinks you do." With that he shut the door and went about his business. I walked to the adjacent bathroom and stripped from my clothing. I sat in the warm water and inhaled.

It smelt like vanilla. I relished in the smell and closed my eyes as laid in the warm bath, I awoke to a knock on the bathroom door. My father peeped in and said, "That's enough soaking, you gotta get ready and head over to the gathering hall."

I nodded and got out and dried myself. When I walked into my room I saw that my clothes were already laid out on my bed for me.

I then got dressed. By the time I was finished and I looked at my reflection my heart began beating fast. I tried calming my nerves but felt like it was no use. I rubbed my sweaty palms onto my black slacks and moved to my bed to put my socks and shoes on.

At the same time, my father walked in and gasped, "Son, what in goddess' name are you doing." He walked over to me and hit my shoes out of my hand. He loved being childish and playing so I just picked up my shoe and began putting it on again.

"The ceremony involves you and your mate being barefooted. Did you not learn that?" Oh I said in my mind.

I then began laughing and said "My bad dad, no foul play" he shook his head and went to stand by the door.

"You can wear slippers to head over there but you must take it off before you enter. Everyone is already waiting there. Steph has already prepared everything." I nodded and put my feet into my slides instead and headed out with him.

When we got there the hall was jam-packed with wolves. I saw some witches in which I assumed were my Luna's friends. The grand hall was big and it was made in a circle so that the alpha could be heard from all sides. I took off my slides before I entered.

All around hung small lights while in the center of the room a fire was set up. Beside it on both ends were lamps. They were the brightest lights in the room.

As my father and I walked to the center of the room we stepped on flowers that littered the floor. He stood facing the door with his back to the fire.

I stood looking all around, wondering where Steph was. My father mind linked me to not worry so I tried to relax.

Everyone was talking until the room stilled to silence. I turned to face the entrance and what I saw brought tears to my eyes.

I stood there in awe as my mate came walking towards me. Her eyes never left mine for a second. She wore a beautiful green dress that hugged her curves just right. I wanted to run my hands over them. I knew then that my mother was the one to dress her, that woman loved the tighter things.

Her dress also matched my shirt. Which made me automatically know that that was what my parents were planning. I laughed inwardly and waited.

My father began the ceremony and that was when I knew my life had been complete.
