solitude at home I sit alone
together we all do
with our laptops and assignments scattered around us
together alone they said we can get through this together
yet we can't touch or hold the very ones that our heartaches to hold
so we all cry
it's just a mindset, yet it's one I haven't been able to attain as these hours alone pass by us
they drain all of us as we ache together and yet as the clock ticks by they say we are alone together
