"What?" I asked trying to buy time to find an explanation. "If you don't know then how did those two guys know Ethan? Is he involved?" Ian asked again making me turn off the sink.

"They- They knew Ethan but no he wasn't involved at all." I lied as I looked up at him making him nod lightly. "Where did they take you? Did you escape or did they let you go?" He asked again making my lips part to come up with a lie.

"They let me go. O-Once they realized I barely knew him." I lied making me feel horrible, but I couldn't risk him freaking out if I told him the truth. Or if more men come back looking for information about what happened. I can't risk him getting hurt.

"Will they be back?" Ian asked making me shrug before I continued washing the dishes. "I don't know." I answered honestly before he grabbed another muffin and ate it.

"This whole thing is so weird." He breathed out making me frown. You have no idea.

"I have to go grocery shopping do you want to come?" I asked finishing the dishes as he ate another muffin making me roll my eyes. "Sure." Ian answered with his mouth full making me smile.

"I'll be down in a minute." I said as I walked upstairs to get ready. I walked into my bathroom to finished getting ready after I got dressed. I saw my dirty, ripped blue diner dress making me frown. I quickly ignored it not wanting to start crying again before I started brushing my teeth.

After I put my hair in a ponytail I walked into my bedroom and stopped as I saw my bed. I ran my fingertips over my lips softly remembering how perfect Ethan's lips felt against mine. How soft and warm they were.

I continued to shove my feelings aside as I grabbed my phone and wallet and shoved them in my pockets.

"What has Blake said about the rumors?" I asked Ian as I drove to the grocery store. "Nothing really." He answered as he continued to look down at his phone making me frown.

"It isn't bothering him?" I asked already knowing it wasn't since he was the one who started the rumor. "He's a guy. We don't care about rumors like girls do." Ian replied making me scoff through a sarcastic smile.

"Because it makes you guys look good. You praise each other for your sexual conquests. Whereas girls are frowned upon. We are thought of as sluts for having a threesome or being known for giving the whole football team blowjobs. Guys are just thought of as hot and popular for being known to have a threesome or eating out the whole cheerleading squad." I said full of annoyance making Ian laugh as he rolled his eyes.

"Speaking of eating out cheerleaders." I said in a sing song voice making Ian roll his eyes. "How's Lily?" I asked through my smile as we slid out of the car.

"Fine." He answered in annoyance making me smile wider as he grabbed a cart. "Have you asked her out yet?" I asked bluntly making him groan.

"Don't make me regret telling you." Ian whined making me chuckle as we walked in the cold supermarket. "So, that's a 'no'." I teased as I grabbed a bag of oranges making him roll his eyes.

"It's hard to find time for us to be alone. Trevor or Blake are always around." He explained making me nod as he continued to push the cart beside me. "Ask her on a date then. The town hosts the Halloween fair every year." I said as I grabbed a few bags of chips and cookies.

"Maybe." Ian replied making me smile lightly. "Is Ethan annoyed by the rumor as much as you are?" He teased making me roll my eyes as I tried to ignore the memory of us kissing.

"No." I lied making him hum in reply. "I told you. Guy's don't care." Ian stated again making me scoff lightly.

"And I already told you why. Do you want another double standard lesson?" I asked through a smile making him chuckle. "No, thanks." He replied as I grabbed more ingredients to bake with.
