"So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me, 'Cause you might look around and find your dreams come true, with me, Spent all your time and your money just to find out that my love was free, So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me, me. It's not a bad thing to fall in love with me, me"

*Michael's P.O.V*

"How do I look?" I ask Ashton nervously as I walk out of the bathroom.

Ashton just chuckles and walks over to me. "Exactly like you do every single day, which is perfect" he smiles as he pulls a stray hair off of my Metallica shirt and flicks it away.

"Right, right, good, okay" I say, nodding as I scan the room for my black leather converse.

"You look nervous" Ashton points out as I finally spot my shoes and practically leap towards them.

"Oh, really, what makes you think that?" I joke as I start tugging my shoes on.

"It's Luke" Ashton laughs, "Why are you nervous?".

"Because this is probably our first real date" I explain.

"Okay, that's understandable" Ashton admits, "But it's still just Luke, you've been on plenty of not-really-a-date-dates with him, this is the same thing".

"I know, but it's just... This is different somehow" I mumble, fiddling with my shoelaces in attempt to tie them up.

"Yeah" Ashton laughs, bending down and taking the laces out of my hands. "You both know that Luke loves you now, that's what's different" he says as he starts tying my shoelaces for me, as if I can't actually do them myself.

"I think I'm going to puke" I mumble.

"Hey" Ashton chuckles, "Just relax, you'll be fine".

"Okay" I say, taking a deep breath and sighing.

*Later*

"Fancy place, thanks for telling me" I frown up at Luke as a waitress shows us to our table, "I could have worn something a little... Less punk".

"Michael, I'm dressed the same as you" he chuckles, looking straight ahead towards the only free table against the far wall.

"Still" I mumble. Luke places a hand on the small of my back.

"Look" he smiles down at me for a moment, "If we dressed fancy, it would look more like a real date and it would draw attention to us even more".

"This isn't a real date?" I choke out.

"It is! Of course it is!" He says quickly, "It's just, we don't want other people to know that, right?".

"Right.." I nod, sitting down at the table we had just arrived at. Luke sits down as well.

"Well, if we dress like normal, it might look more as if we just came here to eat because it looked good, not because we're on a date" he explains. My heart flutters as he says "We're on a date".

"Oh, I understand now" I smile at him as he passes me a menu.

I quickly scan over the menu before picking something simple and setting the menu aside. Luke was still looking over his menu, so I just stare at my slightly trembling hands.

This all seems so surreal, I'm on a date with Luke, a real date. I'm finding it hard to believe he really wants to be here with me... I mean, after so long of him saying he could never love me the way I love him... It all seems so... Fake.
