"Tanjiro."

A quiet voice called out to the male, making him smile and quickly turn around, only to see the beautiful female in his eyes that only held a cold and blank expression; like usual.

"Good morning, (y/n)-san!"

He cheerfully greets then earns a nod in response.

"To you as well. Have you seen Giyu?"

Tanjiro quickly felt jealousy, but shook it quickly away.

'You shouldn't quickly be jealous!'

He thought then continues to talk to himself.

'(Y/n)-san and Giyu-san are childhood friends, so it's only natural for her to look for him..'

Slowly, Tanjiro gets depressed.

'But (y/n)-san and Giyu-san are always together..! They aren't together...'

He gulps as he stares at the female, who held a slight confused look.

'Are they?'

"So did you or did you not?"

She blankly asked, cutting the male's thought.

"Nevermind."

She stares straight ahead with a smile as she pats Tanjiro's shoulder, passing him.

"There he is."

As Tanjiro glances at (y/n), his eyes widen as he sees her smiling so softly and sweetly, once again.

'Ah..It's that look again..'

He clenches his fist, denying it.

"Thank you, even though you didn't said anything but shook and nod your head."

She quietly said with a smile at him.

"Y-Yes!"

(Y/n) skips towards Giyu as Tanjiro continues to watch her.

"Giyu~!"

She sweetly called out, catching Tanjiro off guard.

'She has never ever been like that in front of others—!'

He thought as he turned stiff.

'Come to think of it...'

Tanjiro recalls the memory of
(y/n) at the others.

'(Y/n)-san is always so distant and cold to the others. She always look so cold and held a blank expression like Giyu-san, but..'

Flashbacks of (y/n) smiling only at Giyu plays inside the young male's head.

His eyes widen as he sees Giyu kissing the female's forehead then smiles at each other and held hands while they start to walk.

'So they're together, huh?'

He smiles then turns around, walking away as he takes one look at the female.

She was smiling so sweetly at Giyu and her eyes were shining bright while talking to him, unlike with the others; she only spoke to them, unless needed and her eyes never shone so bright and so did her smile, because she only held a blank and cold expression at them.

"I see.."

His mouth went agape as tears falls down on his cheeks.

"What?"

He wipes them away, but they only kept coming out.

'I shouldn't be sad..'

Tanjiro sobs as he starts to wipe the tears on his cheeks a little hard.

'I should be happy for them, especially (y/n)-san, because...'

He hides behind the mansion, and let his body slide down on the wall.

'Giyu-san can make her smile and shine like that, unlike me.'

He holds his mouth and starts to muffle scream.

'I would be considered a fool, for falling in love to someone who's already in love and together with someone.'

He clutches his cloth by his heart as he continues to cry.

"Why did I even planned on confessing to her..?"

He hugs his knees and closes his eyes as he felt exhausted.

"I'm so stupid."
